Blur are playing some dates next year: does that make them more likely for Reading? I hope so...

You would imagine so, probably a toss up between v and r&l...Damn was going to give werchter a wide berth this year but might just pull me in again if theres any more decent announcements.

I was so unsure of Blur because of the whole 'this may be the last time they ever play' thing, but this blows that completely out of the water. I think they are definitely likely for R&L next year!

Yeah the fact that they're active next Summer is certainly good news, although they're likely to be in high demand so R&L will have to fight for them.

T and Reading just about always share a headliner, so I'm guessing that's going to be what happens here.

Why does doing Werchter at the start of July point to R&L rather than V or IOW?

I think I remember Blur saying someting in 2009 about how they wanted to play Reading and they will do it next time.

I'm also of the opinion that Blur are closer to FR/LN than they are Metropolis/SJM, and the fact that Werchter is owned by LN seems to confirm that, along with making it more likely that other Blur dates will be with LN and not Metropolis/SJM.
