If I had to choose between technicians and personalities I'd chose personalities but let's not pretend Reigns has loads of charisma and mic skills even by the reality era standards.

I think he has a lot of charisma, but poor Mic skills. He is one of those people who has a presence and less is more when it comes to talking. I know I'm in the minority amongst internet fans, but he is one of my favourites on the current roster.

He is being used wrong but even if he's played to his strengths I really can't see him being THE face of WWE which what the uproar is about. He can still be a main eventer but to be the guy like Hogan, Cena, Rock etc that sells merch & has kids screaming for him I can't see it happening and there's nothing wrong with that as there roster should be full of stars and even the likes of British Bulldog, Roddy Piper, Mr Perfect, Jake The Snake never won the title.

The reality is he will probably fall somewhere in the middle in a group occupied by the likes of Foley, Orton, Batista.

I think he has as much chance of anyone as being the face of the wwe after cena, but these things are hard to predict, Austin was never brought in for that role, he developed into it. He may never pacify the need for a workrate and experience in the indies that many internet fans have, I think he will appeal to the kids.

I think the uproar is mainly about people not wanting to Vince to tell them what to like. Some will never accept him, no matter how much he improves. He has had the best match in consecutive wwe ppvs, many ex champions can't say that.

I honestly think that Seth Rollins will be the face of the company for years to come. I see Reigns as a guy in the mould of Orton, still heavily pushed but more of a constant no.2. What they've done with him since The Shield broke up has absolutely damaged his progression. At this point, crowds hate him, and its all down to him being over-pushed and forced by the company. Can he recover from it? Probably. Will it be any time soon? I don't think so.

Ted Dibiase

Rick Rude

Scott Hall

Ricky Steamboat

Owen Hart

Jeff Jarrett [in WWE, didn't even come close]

Goldust [was over as fuck in 96]

I could go on forever from the 80's and 90's

Its only really since the 2000's that they've let people have a go, the likes of Kane, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry etc would never have held the title in the 80's-90's hell I know Kane won the title in 98, but it was for ONE day and he didn't even pin Austin.

Regarding Mark Henry, look how hot Earthquake was in 91 v Hogan, DAMN he was over as a monster heel, that match v Hogan at Summerslam. Yet he never got a sniff at the title.

Vader was white hot as THE heel in WWE in 96 yet Shawn stopped him winning the title instead dropping to his friend Sid. Which is a real shame, cus Vader deserved it and he flopped after that fued.

Title changes occured too often in the 2000's which is why compare Hogan in 80's-90's having only 5 title reigns and HBK only holding the big one 4 times in total compared to Cena having 15 and Edge and Orton on like 12-14.

It seems to have slowed down again now though and I think they are being more careful who they put the strap on.

I suppose it depends how you define "face of the company". I can see him being like CM Punk, a guy loved by the internet and hardcore fans. A guy who will have a great career and multiple world title reigns. However at the same time a guy who the company never really think as the number 1 guy and always holding things until their top star takes over. I think in WWE land Rollins size will always slightly count against him.

There are very few Austin/Rock/Cenas, so by the law of probability Reigns probably wont get there, however at the same time I think he is the most likely of anyone on the roster at present. I think the only damage really done to Reigns was the poorly booked Royal Rumble, however I think he is bounced back stronger than anyone can imagine. Wrestling fans are very fickle and Im sure someone else will be the target in a few months. Reigns has too many tools to fail in my view.

Sad news :( It's a shame I would of liked to of seen her against some of the nxt girls.

If they knew she was leaving, I think I would of prefered a triple threat/fatal 4 way at 'mania for the belt with Paige winning.

Its a bit strange this one. If WWE was aware of this before wrestlemania it seems an odd decision giving her the submission victory in the tag match. If she kept if from WWE until after the ppv, that's pretty disappointing in my view. She should have been either taking the pin, or letting Paige take it.

They let her come back for the payday then, it sounds to me like shes left to be with Punk, she's probably fed up with WWE life and they probably asked her to lose to Ronda Rousey in the future.

I wouldn't say this is the end for her.

She doesn't need TNA but lets face it, they have Kong, Kim, Taryn, Angelina, it looks like Mickie might be back for a few matches and they've just added a few more on the upcoming tapings, a bunch of people she has never worked with. The schelude is one weekend of tapings a month.

She might come in as a challenge for herself. She's still young and with Punk doing UFC surely she's gunna get itchy feet. I just wouldn't close the door on her inring just yet.

I think she will sit out and relax for a bit. Cant see her following Punk's footsteps and going into MMA, but I could see her returning to the ring one day. Has she had her last WWE show then, or is she doing a few more then stopping after so long? First ive seen of this news

Looking forward to UK RAW, the crowd will be so hot. They're apparently starting a major angle tonight, my guess is something to do with Bray Wyatt. A Family reunion and feud with Triple H and The Authority would be great stuff if done properly, "THE WYATT FAMILY ARE TAKING OVER" :P

    • Didn't stay up for the S Korea Czech game, but entertaining highlights. Lots of very good chances created by S Korea with poor finishing.    Czechs definitely more in that game than S Africa were against Mexico, but Mexico S Korea looks tasty in the next round for that group.
    • I thought the first was absolutely clear, and while I didn't like the 2nd from the 1st angle, once there was another angle showing it to clearly be an intentional slap I didn't have an issue.   3rd felt harsh to me though, cynical foul but I'm not sure that'd be a red in the CL by 'denying a clear goalscoring opportunity'.
    • Gelli Haha and Ninajirachi were two of my highlights in Barcelona, so that must have been an insane couple of hours to enjoy!
    • looking for a ticket for today (friday the 12th); if anyone knows of anything... thx
    • Great! Weather was very hot during the day, almost unbearable in the afternoon, but it was nice that it was still warm at night. I watched Nation Of Language, Oklou, Ethel Cain, The xx, Gelli Haha and Ninajirachi. All of them were excellent! Heard good things about the Kneecap show too.
