to be honest its more than worth it if the live stream for ppv's is solid as that's cheaper than sky charges anyway*. plus all the added content.

*I'm aware the ppv's are often shit but hey we can watch the solid show that is known as nxt on it as well (don't have sky so bonus for me) (i hope)

I remember in the 90s and even early noughties buying ppvs on VHS (Silver vision) for around £10-£12 each and I was still a student back then, it took a fortune to save up for ppv.

Now with £9.99 you get the live ppv's, weekly original programs and an access to all the ppvs. It's amazing how times change.

Anyone any clue what devices will be available? I have a virgin media TiVo box and I use the netflix app on there so hopefully there will be a similar set up for the network. If not I do have a PS3.

I don't think it will be on Virgin Tivo but all the other places Netflix is.

Its defo on PS3 and PS4

I'll probably just keep on the US account as have no problems using it.

Finally getting a chance to watch NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 9 this afternoon. JR and Matt Striker on commentary and it's a stacked card as it's their Wrestlemania.

I watched a bit of it live, saw AJ's match and the IC match which was outstanding. But had to go out before the main event.

One of the best PPVs I've ever seen. That's me fully into NJPW now. I knew it would be a good show but didn't think it would be as good as that. The IC title match and Okada/Tanahashi were both 5 stars matches IMO. Was so great hearing JR calling the action again, sounded like he really had a blast. Striker did a brilliant job as well.

Give this one a watch guys

That match was insane just gave it a watch there. It was on another level. The moonsault out the ring was brilliant!

So Bray beat Dean clean, looks like that's over. No idea where they'll go with Dean now, he was the hottest thing on the roster post-summerslam but he's been booked like shit recently.

I'm quite happy that Seth's been added to the Championship match at Rumble, he could just be there to take a pin but it'll make the actual match better imo because Cena Vs Lesnar III is just a boring thought.

The crowd was absolutely atrocious. A couple of thoughts; Dean Ambrose should come back with a slight character tweak, possibly more heelish or more like he was in The Shield before they started overplaying his 'unstable' side and making him goofy.

I have no idea where this firing angle is going at all, it seems very sudden. Whether they are back for the Rumble or not is the big question (personally, I think they will be). On another note, great job by JBL and Booker T on completely sh*ting on and burying The Ascension! What a great way to promote up and coming talent...

And finally, once again Roman Reigns was disappointing. From the horribly scripted 'Superman' promo (the content of which probably isn't his fault at all, but the deliver was poor again) to the awful match with The Big Slow AGAIN. I want Reigns to do well, but with performances like he has been giving since he returned, he just isn't suitable to be given the push as the next face of the company. Bryan* HAS to win the Royal Rumble.

*I also noticed how Daniel Bryan wasn't mentioned once during the show. Not a recap of his announcement last week or anything. Same old WWE. It baffles me how they don't want to push the biggest and most popular babyface they've had in a decade.

Pretty sure Sting is going to somehow be involved in the "firing" angle, would make sense as a continuation of the Survivor Series appearance, maybe have Sting head an NWO style faction with Ziggler and the rest... just a theory...

What would be good on the Bryan front, is if he and a few other mystery participants were already (kayfabe) iron clad "signed on" for the rumble before the authority came back into power, so even they don't know who will be appearing (Orton returning for one of the spots being one of them)

    • First time for me, really enjoyed it. Nice venue, nice weather, good vibes, etc.   Notes on performances: CMAT's a great performer - seen her live twice now.  GANS are my favourite new act since Big Special, and live they're fantastic. Fellow Brummies too, so I'm all about that. The album's a bit disappointing though. Primal Scream were great, although I felt the crowd seemed a bit muted. The Libertines sounded knackered. Not sure they're suited to a festival. First time seeing The Royston Club, thought they were very good - the tent seemed to be full of kids on each others shoulders singing along. I'm all about that. First time seeing the K's, a bit disappointed. Didn't like his voice, and I felt like every song sounded the same as the last one. Sarajevo is a good tune, though. It still sounds like all the others, just a bit better.  The Maccabees and Two Door Cinema club were a but underwhelming, but Pelican by the Maccabees is a banger. It all sounded a bit Travis/Early Coldplay to me though. The Wombats took me by surprise - I expected 1 1/2 hours of 'Let's Dance to Joy Division' style indie-landfill, so I was surprised to hear that some of the rest of their stuff had dynamics and range. I still don't think they're any good, but I can't say they didn't surprise me either. Just not my thing.   Surprise of the weekend for me was Rizzle Kicks. Never listened to them before, but they got me out of my tent and into the arena as I was trying to nurse a hangover and I thought it was a blast.    Will probably go next year too.
    • Not really anything to say other than the fact I'm down at Opeth and this has been a cracking summer by and large here. Few duds, plenty of sellouts, strong weather, and the craft beer is cheaper than the regular bar. Winner winner, chicken dinner!
    • Pink Floyd night on sky arts time for me  to wallow in nostalgia and remember some incredible gigs
