Glad Reigns was a the soul survivor, big things ahead for him I hope. Tag match with Punk/Bryan vs Wyatts was good but apart from that it was poor (Skipped Cena/Del Rio so can't comment on that)

Why weren't Ziggler or Sandow on the PPV? These two SHOULD be the future.

Why have Big E win the IC title on the RAW before Survivor Series then defend it against the person who he HAS just beat. They should of just let him win the title at Survivor Series.

Orton/Big Show worst main event in recent history?

They are clearly teasing the title unification so could that happen at the next PPV?

it won't happen at tlc, maybe rumble if not wm.

and yes i agree with above, i prefer ambrose to the other 2 but they've dropped the ball with him.

as soon as anyone gets the US/IC championship they get pushed for a while then get put to the back burner while they work out what to do next.

worst ss in a long while, they really are dropping the ball with the more established ppvs at the moment.

but its obvious why reigns was given the limelight, they're looking towards the future, and who might replace cena when he eventually goes

Agree on Survivor Series, It's surely a contender for the worst survivor series of all time.

However I don't agree that wwe is dropping the ball with most established ppvs, SummerSlam this year was imo one of the best events of the last 10 yrs

TNA spoilers

]Just read that Magnus beat Jeff Hardy to become the new TNA World Champ.

He's now in TEAM DIXIE with Dixie, EC3 and Rockstar Spud.

At least its pushing new talent, lets hope he stays world title level for a LONG time. Barrett should have had this push in WWE.

Just read the TNA spoilers for up to Jan 2nd

On mobile so cant spoiler but I like the direction its heading, looks like Genesis is gunna be a great PPV

Still 4 ppvs a year?

Not watched TNA in ages but heard the Aces and Eights funeral angle was brilliant.

Triple H documentary was very good but could have focused more on feuds, No mention of the Austin feud and nothing about Foley but I assume that is because it's all covered on the Foley documentary.

You mean 'Thy Kingdom Come'?Foley appeared on it and discussed their feud they had while he was in his Mankind character which they both said helped to get Trips over and be taken seriously.

Edit; I did think it was interesting how Trips seemed to suggest Austin refused to put him over and would only drop the belt to Foley who in turn dropped it to Trips the night after the PPV on Raw for Trips first title.

Yeah but that was very brief. I was wanting to hear about Rumble and No Way Out 2000, two matches that cemented Triple H as a star. As I say they are probably discussed on the Foley doc which I haven't watched yet.

I think that was discussed on his earlier dvd.I definitely remember him talking about those matches.

Well. Im dumbstruck and this is fucking huge.

For those who don't know, Jarrett started TNA when he decided there needed to be a second big promotion in the US when WCW died. He started EVERYTHING off, and when he couldn't run it financially anymore Dixie asked her Dad to invest in the company and they did, Jarrett lost power, more so down the line but retained a 29% stake in the company.

No one seems to know exactly what he has resigned from, but plenty of current and former TNA people are tweeting him saying thank you.

I wonder, is he done with wrestling altogether or with say Hogan and Bischoff and some backing, is he gunna do it again? Think about it there's a lot of talent and names free at the moment, he has enough out there to do it again.

THE two mainstays of TNA from the VERY beginning are now gone, Jeff and AJ. Very weird situation going on at TNA right now, this is like when Hulk left WWF IMO.

How is it huge?

He's gone before, and then was brought back as an agent, and now is gone again. Hardly a massive story. NO different these days from Road Dogg leaving Vince land.

And he's not done Wrestling by a long shot.

You can tell you're not a TNA person, to a TNA viewer its HUGE.

He hasn't gone before, he's NEVER been gone, he's been with the company since day one because it was HIS company, yeah he sold the controlling stake a long time ago but he still owned part of the company.

He was sent home when the whole lies about seeing Karen came out but he was never gone.

He's still had MUCH to do with the company, this year he did the deal with Wrestle 1 in Japan with Muta to work together, he's the one who has the deal going with AAA in Mexico. Just cus you didn't see him on TV doesn't mean a thing.

End of the day WWF grew to huge levels with Hogan, it was Vince and Hogan they were a partnership they grew that company, this parallels that as in Dixie and Jeff grew TNA together and now Jeff has gone, he may not have the star power of Hulk, but behind the scenes, its as big an impact.

Im stunned Jeff is walking away, the word has been he was back in control with Hogan and Bischoff gone and now he's gone. TNA is in a complete turnaround of late.

Imagine if Jarrett, Hogan and Bischoff do decide to try to start up a company, all it takes is one rich guy to pump some money in, they could bury TNA.

He went in 2006 after losing the title, came back for a month in May 2007 to (unsuccessfully) put Roode over and then fucked off again. You can 'own' part of the company but it's only a part of it. A minority interest. Dixie and the gang still called the shots. I can't imagine Jarrett, being very, very smart about the wrestling industry in general (erm.... apart from the initial TNA concept which was fucked up beyond belief) would've supported 90% of the ideas implemented the last decade.

He hasn't been on TV in what, two years?

Burying TNA? Like that's hard. TNA has buried itself for years. Hogan is done- not a draw anymore and can't work. Bischoff creatively is done. So if they do find a rich guy, it's also going to have to be an incredibly stupid one. What difference did Hogan and Bischoff make to TNA, apart from plunging them further in the hole?

    • Yep, honestly this seems like the most likely option right now.
    • Agree. Also there was a lot more crossing over between stages. I know they need to put the cure, the xx and Gorillaz on the main stages but if they could have put your Blood Orange, Big Thief, Baxter Dury on Cupra and Occident with Jade and Pinkpantheress on the main stages, it would have been a massive improvement.
    • 100% THIS! I haven't quite been able to put my finger on it, but I think you've just nailed why I didn't enjoy this year as much as usual. In last years edition, the likes of Slowdive or Big Thief would have had evening slots at Cupra or Occident, instead of being shoved on to the main stages during the day. Apart from the very biggest acts (ie The Cure, the pop headliners), most performances at Mordor just lack that special "wow, I'm so lucky to be here" feeling that I remember from the Jesus Lizard and Anhoni sets that you've mentioned.  Sidenote: I wonder if there's a decent chunk of ticket holders that gravitate towards Mordor simply because it's the biggest stage, without really caring who's playing at that time, thus the increased (and incredibly noticeable) yapping.
    • Some horrible talkers around me as well for that one. Plus the mobile beer taps pressing through almost all the way to the front, which really should be illegal.
