Good.

An excellent headliner to cap each day, some other excellent bands. Cracking atmosphere for some (Foos, Feeder), awful for others (some c**t booed Mark Lanegan!).

Exit management was the best I've seen yet, entry... I complained about this last year as well, but changing the layout so you have to go all the way round every time you go in is a bitch.

And I'm speaking about Reading rather than its retarded baby brother.... :P

I don't remember anyone booing Lanegan :(

Overall a good festival with a nice atmosphere topped off with a great Foos set. I'm sure some will whine about the lack of special guests, Nirvana covers or holograms (lol) but they gave us something genuinely unique; songs like Exhausted, Winnebago, Weenie Beenie and Alone + Easy Target which they haven't played for years and years and may never play again.

Good weekend, Foo's were amazing, as always. ATDI were great, got there just as they started because i was at Feeder and I couldnt believe how empty it was! The Cure were far better than I thought they would be, didnt know too many songs but they rocked it! (Reading)

Was only there on Friday. Cure were obviously indescribably brilliant. Crowd were better than I thought they would be for The Cure. Mainstage/NME wasn't good whenever I was there on Friday, very good in smaller places (e.g FR for Alt J). Organisation was good when I was there. Other than the normal twat problems at R&L, was good. Probably not enough to get me back again (although I said that after 2010) but better than I thought.

Drunkenly met Melvin and thanked him for booking The Cure, and then they played an eight or so minute version of Deep Green Sea. Karma works.

great weekend, the headliners were awesome. Agree with the others who said the organisation was excellent. Especially for the Green Day thing, if they didn't think that through it could have been horrible. Lowest number of arrests they've had in years as well from what I hear. Yay for peace and love.

The one shitter was the main stage finishing half an hour earlier than normal yesterday so the Foos only got two and a half hours rather then the three hours that everyone was expecting. I guess it was down to not wanting the whole site leaving en masse due to the expected massive crowd for the Foos, but it would have been nice to have been told (unless the finish times were in the lanyard/programme).

I thought the layout changes were good, made it a lot easier to get to other stages from the main stage area. Less twats as well, continuing the trend from last year. PABH and Twin Atlantic crowds were great, I may be an old git but is great seeing spontaneous acts of good-natured fun from the young 'uns.

I'm talking about about readings fitter, faster, louder younger brother...

A few campsite and car park changes that made a little bit of a difference.

Foos amazing as per.

NME tent most day Sun. Hives, Courteeners and Foster the People cock on.

New main stage is a bit grander, I'm sure the walking areas between stages are wider.

Less food stands?

And what can I say about the nightlife.. piccadilly party, relentless and silent disco its your fault in aching so much

Reading - Brilliant!

In terms of organisation/layout in the arena this was the best of seen in the 11 times i've been. Rarely had to wait around between stages, no crushing between bands, brilliant atmosphere, great bands, amazing Green Day :)

I noticed the campsites becoming more rammed than usual...extra area capacity could be nice for next year (although no idea where it would come from). Excellent security this year, if anyone started being twattish in the campsite the security came down on them like a tonne of bricks, more so than previous years (although I didn't see any Sunday night events as we left after the Foos)

No road traffic in or out of the site this year too.

Also rated the free campsite food very highly, and got 10 extra bacon rolls on Saturday 12:30 as they were just giving out all the ones left over :D

Very successful weekend

I only watched on TV as I had to flog my ticket, but I thought that Kasabian gave a great performance from what I saw and compared to their 2009 Glastonbury performance it was light years ahead, maybe because it was a headline set or maybe because the crowd were more enthusiastic. Either way I wish I had been there.

I think that was my fave reading so far! amazing sets from foos, don broco and feeder. everything just seamed to flow alot smoother for this year.... I did wake up late for Green Day tho and had to watch from miles back, my own fault i guess.

    • Yet again we’re missing the WH Sunday reggae slot
    • Occident has got larger over the years and there's relatively little overlap with mbv and OR fans that I think it would work fine as it would divide the crowd so effectively.   They don't even need to give the biggest stage from an optics perspective either, this would be billed as a secret short set and used to promote her new album.
    • Really like this! Few artists a bit low I reckon like the Reytons, Yard Act, the Royston Club and Florence Road but I’d absolutely take this!
    • Yeah Olivia Rodrigo walked right past me when leaving the crowd during The Cure set.   I had to escape where I was in the crowd so was just chilling in the bottom left corner when she walked through with a couple of others.    Thought it was her or someone who looked incredibly like her but no-one else seemed to pick up on it, either not bothered or just too engrossed in their own conversations to not notice..
    • Why?   It’s all made up nonsense, an illusion for the masses.   Who do we owe these numbers on a server to, and how will they collect them?
