Wouldn't mind catching The Flaming Lips too! They looked amazing in 2010 from the TV far better than Gorrilaz. Although the presence of Shaun Ryder and Snoop Dogg made the Gorrilaz set for me.

We actually left Gorillaz early because we felt there wasn't much atmosphere, and headed to The Park to see The xx instead. on the way past we saw the last half a song of The Flaming Lips on the Other stage. seemed like a much better crowd feeling, wish we'd gone there in the first place!

Quite interesting seeing the comments made about The Flaming Lips here.

I really don't know many of their songs but think they look like they'd be a great fun band to see live.

Has anyone mentioned Peter Gabriel. He's currently touring in the USA celebrating the 25th aniversary of So. Personally, I think he would make a good headliner but maybe 2nd headliner material?

The Flaming Lips are one of the best live bands around. So good! They also have a new album out next year.

Mabe a bit too soon for a return though?

Interesting! I recall having this conversation a while ago but are they big enough for Other Stage headliner? Maybe the tour dates will give us a better idea of what they'll be doing come June.

Probably too big for the Other Stage. They headline arenas and smaller festivals, after all.

I was trying to think of someone who hasn't played Glasto in a few years and Iggy and the Stooges came to mind, they have a Australian festival next year in march. Don't know how likely it could be then.
