Surely people can't just blame the sound, as the chances of the wind wind picking up straight after Weezer and disappearing before Blink aren't likely and aren't to be the sole reason for so much negativity. The fact they played very lacklusture and only for about 40mins also led them to be terrible.

I'm actually quite happy paramore subbing, thought they were pretty good in 2010, I like the band, lead singer would get it, where we were stood 2010 the sound quality was pretty good considering the wind though I've heard there were problems elsewhere.

It's a bit of an odd combination with the cure and they could have booked better but I don't think it's a bad booking, not like booking MCR for headline slot last year.

I wasnt there last time they played, kids were too young for me to get away with two festivals in one year. Prob biggest suprise of the announcement as they werent rumoured. Im only going on the Saturday this year to see The Cure and Paramore are one of my wifes favourite bands so im a pretty happy about it, plus she is fit !

IMO Melvin was clearly going for Green Day and somewhere along the line gave up and took The Cure. The whole day is suited for Green Day to Headline and then we get The Cure. Hmmm.

Don't get me wrong, I dig the cure, but still seems weird.

Also Green Day are playing Rock En Seine the same Weekend. Whats up with that?

How are Bombay Bicycle Club and Crystal Castles more suited to Green Day than The Cure? I admit it's a pretty disjointed undercard but even with Green Day people would be saying that bands are out of place.

Aslo Rock En Seine probably aren't bothered that Green Day are touring the UK in September, FR obviously are.

When I saw paramore subbing I went into a rage. fucking seriously!? they played shit only 2 years before , and subbing the cure is a fucking pisstake. I'm going to have to stand through their pile of shit to wait. They'd have a crowd of 30 deaf boys looking at hayley williams' tits, 500 fangirls 20fanboys and 50,000 Cure fans wishing it would be fucking over. Wouldn't be so annoyed if florence wasnt playing aswell, paramore are shit and florence shrieks. THANK FUCK FOR THE BLACK KEYS.

I complained about both, QOTSA were crap in 08 but did in fairness came back better in 10 and KOL annoy the fuck out of me. The only complaint abut Paramore I have this year is that they have created a very out of place headliner on that day.

Paramore are ok at what they do to be fair but they shouldn't have returned so soon after a weak performance maybe this time they will make up for it and in other news i wouldn't mind Hayley sitting on my face.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
