Nah, when Faith No More were due to headline the NME and not announced there was no special guest or tbc so everyone thought Jamie T was headlining so it's probably the same this time round.

If Tenacious D are indeed going to play between the Vaccines & Florence as every keeps saying, I really don't understand why the organisers didn't have Kaiser Chiefs take that slot & have the D between Bullet & the Black Keys, it surely would have made more sense.

I thought everyone knew FNM were there? I did. I saw the confirmation on their site before it was taken down. Thought everyone knew about it?

I remember that FNM added it to their tour dates, but removed it quite quickly. I remember seeing it. I also remember a screen-shot being slung about. But yeah... Meh.

I really don't see where Tenacious D would fit here.

I think with the FNM thing, there was speculation that Jamie T wasn't big enough to headline the tent, and FNM were one of the names in the frame for a possible alternative. And then a few weeks later they accidentally added it to their tour dates. So you're both sort of right. Anyway, there was certainly no 'Special Guests' billing on the poster, and FNM were just slotted in above Jamie T when they were announced. So there's no reason that can't happen again with Tenacious D.

Also, ArcticGorilla's a tosser. Tries to get one over on Neil, and then claims to be trolling- nice one. And he's generally a bit of a moron.

Last year MCR only had 90 mins and there were only nine bands, 30STM got 75 mins I believe. I wouldn't be surprised if on the Kasabain day they added the TBC band in low down as indicated, gave Florence a longer set and left it at nine again.

while it's possible that I've been sold a dud with Ten D (getting dud info is unavoidable when relying on rumours), in this case I still don't think I have been. In this case I've had the same info from a few sources, asnd those sdame sources gave me lots of other good info (as last night's announcement proved).

I'd always thought that Ten D probably wouldn't be in the first announcement because of Download, and since then there's been dates for June announced - so I think it's likely that they'll be announced around that time.

Yeah true, though I remember a lot of people expecting another act to be announced. Plus didn't the Offspring get a longer set than 3rd usualy does?

Five or ten minutes more, but then so did The National and Weezer. I think the last couple of years have proved that there isn't a set template and that they're more than pepared to alter set times or space bands out.

I meant does it really matter? as in the few people getting upset that they havn't been announced ( i still believe they will if your that certain, its certainly plausible and there's always an act or two held back till after download). It almost as if some people are acting like Neil deliberatively thinks they are playing just to piss people off, which obviously isn't the case.
