Saw Tenacious D twice last year. Once at Download drunk and it was pretty poor, once in Glasgow when I was sober and it was awful. Not funny, bad songs, bad times.

I dont really understand why it would be considered good to see a 'band' perform the same jokes we have all heard many times before...surely the element of surprise is key in comedy, whether the songs are funny or not in the first place.

Yeah i can't think of a lot worse than Tenacious D. Also dislike Manic Street Preachers, but must concede they would be a good booking. NME headline/3rd on main?
