Has anyone got ANY info about who's going to be announced? I think I'm addicted to this forum and it's literally driving me insane, I'm far too excited.

So, right now we have info from different people that Green Day and Nine Inch Nails are headlining, with one of people giving Green Day info being Neil (may or may not be solid info). Then we have info that Black Sabbath were in talks to headline, from Neil. Then there's the fact Live Nation have set up an AC/DC community page ready to be launched, and Neil and Scottie mentioning them a couple of times in here (may or may not have been hints).

Taking all this into account, I can't see it being anyone other than one of these four. And to be honest I can't see Nine Inch Nails being a headline act.

Just thought I'd sum up my thoughts on it.

I can't at all see it being Green Day or Sabbath. Green Day have too much going against them & Sabbath just wouldn't be announced as the final headliner.

i cant see it being ACDC, its almost as bad as people saying black keys will play uk fests,

they have no dates, havent for 3 years, and are currently in the writing process of a new album.

it would be a huge coup if they did get them on like a european exclusive or something but i highly doubt it... unfortunately.

I hope it is ACDC, with NIN or MBV in the tent against them.

I still highly doubt it, but it seems a lot more likely than other suggestions of the who etc to play

But Live Nation setting up an AC/DC community page ready to be launched would surely suggest they're about to announce dates. The only thing I saw stopping them was that an Olympic Stadium show seemed more likely.

I don't see why people think the last headliner will be a big ticket seller. Last year TitP announced Snow Patrol and Kasabian last. Surely festivals will announce the biggest headliners first to get tickets sold early.

Edit: Also Download announced their smallest headliner last both this year and last year.

Has a headliner ever been this mysterious? You'd think blur straight away with the dates....who knows, maybe fr paid them to pretend they weren't hitting the uk, and then paid John to make a ridiculous comment in a kerrang mag.

Other then that, exclusive wise, no one headliner worthy seems to be around, which is unusual. That's why I'm thinking it must be someone outside the box

I'm pretty stumped for more ideas that don't sound stupid aka deep purple or scorpions!

We must of nailed it, and due to no new material the only 1s I'll be disappointed in are rage and Metallica, despite being 2 of my faves

Couldn't tell you really, they deserve to be high up main, but with the demographic, they could probably get stuck on NME, I think a high percentage of R&L goers wouldn't be interested in even contemplating seeing them
