I pretty easily got tickets for their Manchester show, if you want to see them, now is the time to buy! Who else do we think could fulfill that reformed cult legends NME headline slot? In a perfect world I'd want Pavement, but that's massively unlikely.

it'd need a fair lot to be honest. the amount of money in question needs more than just 3 headliners. but headliner wise, eminem is a huge pull - that alone made me question not going. sabbath would do it. soad - i partly think they'd only sub and that may stop them playing all together but they'd do it, linkin park would - but i'd rather see them at their own show, though i thoroughly enjoyed them at download last year. blur may do the job as well

while it's in there and possible, i still believe Mumford have a very good shout at headlining Glasto, better not say that too loud though.

but since T has gone to 3 days especially, there hasn't been a year that a glasto header has not been shared, bar 06 due to glasto not being on. That year T grabbed The Who before glasto. 07 and kinda 11 T and Glasto shared two although beyonce was a header at glasto and not at T.

even when T was a 2 day event, glasto had shared. It's hard to see past then due to not knowing T's before 2002 history.

Other ideas for subs: Dizzee Rascal, Stereophonics, Example, Paul Weller, Jimmy Page, Noel Gallagher, Skrillex, New Order, Primal Scream, Deadmau5, PJ Harvey, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pixies, the Darkness and Iggy and the Stooges.

Some of them are ridiculously unlikely.

Primal Scream and New Order are absolutely big enough to sub, one could even argue they're headliners. Pixies, now there's a band who's greatness would be insulted by a sub slot. Example strikes me more as 3rd down at R&L, sub at V.

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
