2013 Lineup

Gigwise did a poll, apparently, about who fans would most like to see at R+L.

  1. The Killers

  2. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

  3. Biffy Clyro

  4. Depeche Mode

  5. Blur

Not really that interesting, but I was particularly surprised at Depeche Mode being fourth after we've mentioned so often about demographic and stuff, and ahead of Blur who I'd expect to be right up the top.

If I remember correctly, weren't Depeche Mode ruled out of Latitude due to the fact they'd have to play consecutive nights? Surely the fact they're playing two nights in a row at the O2 and they'd most likely play two nights in a row if they played R&L means they're perfectly possible for Latitude? Although it would require them playing consecutive nights in different countries which may make it less likely.

Anyway, with the blessing of Gigwise readers, book Depeche Mode and be done with it, Melvin.

The thing with Dizzee is I'm pretty sure he hasn't actually done anything since he last played? Apart from a couple of England football team songs :P At least Bloc Party, Jack White and Biffy have all recently released new albums... If it was a strong headliner, I'd put him as sub, but as Arctics are probably the weakest of the 3 (although I love them), I felt there needed to be something inbetween

    • 1 - Mock Media - Rat Bastard 2 - Maquina - Body Transmission 3 - Mary in the Junkyard - Role Model Hermit   Honourable mentions to The Hu - Hun, Madonna - Confessions II, and Swapmeet - Mount Zero for also being solid.   Sadly, really didn't connect with the new Yard Act, a real shame as loved their last two albums and thought this one would be a shoe-in for AOTM, but felt it was a bit too generic..
    • Anyone had email yet?
    • See him doing either wilderness or the forest live shows more
    • I always fancied going to this one - it had my sort of lineup. Shame.
