biffoire
More Guns N Roses dates, they are touring the US in Feb and Bulgaria on the 8th July which is the last night of Soni UK.
mrtourette
They've announced a date in Ireland in May and are expected to do a bigger European tour, so they could easily do Soni on the Fri and then fly to Bulgaria as part of a full Eurpoean tour. kipper64
Id say that rules them out then. I couldn't see them playing Soni then flying to Bulgaria.
jump
Err, why not? Alot of bands do back to back tour dates, he could be playing the Friday too, then saturday off, Bulgaria on the Sunday.
kipper64
Oh dear...that was more of a Freudian slip...now I'll probably end up sparking an Axl and Friends VS GNR debate haha
she bangs the drums
Loving the odds offered on Guns n Roses for the Dublin Gig: 3/1 on them to arrive on stage more than an hour late http://www.oddscheck...l-walk-on-stage Axl to storm off 4/1 http://www.oddscheck...xl-to-storm-off edit - I see the 3/1 didn't last long, now into 7/4 for them to be more than an hour late! kipper64
Could be, but as I said on the Soni forums, his facebook update about it says: Gary Numan Official There will be another exciting announcement at the end of this week, keep your eyes peeled .. AF End of the week doesn't really fit in with Download's mid week announcement.

kipper64
Both would definitely secure my ticket, don't see QotSA doing download though, and if they clashed with Sabbath I'd be raging Can't see them clashing with Prodigy as I'm sure they said Friday's 2nd stage headliner is a more classic rock-esque one. TYLER_4
QOTSA are IMO more likely for R&L under Foo Fighters, but you never know.
dan666
QOTSA seem to play R+L quite often tho.
she bangs the drums
No QOTSA or Gary Numan for Download, Slash is headlining the second stage so he has to be a doubt for Sonisphere so all this nonsense about the possibility of him playing with Axl and friends can stop. If GnR are getting back together in the classic form, it will be all over the media beforehand to maximise the revenue.
kipper64
GNR been announced to play alongside the Cult at some festival in Austria on the 29th of June (it's on the Cult's website).
kaosmark2
The Cult have been brilliant every time I've seen them, that'd be a great booking.

kipper64
I think that's possible, Evanescence seem likely due to no Download - same with Motley Crue...sadly, not a fan of either!
Bisque
Are Evanescene still popular... anywhere?

kipper64
Their tour sold out, didn't it? So yeah, seems so! Queen would certainly headline of FNM I reckons...out of the 2 FNM are less likely to headline, but seeing as it'll probably be their only UK show of the year and one of few shows this year if they are recording, I can see them headlining. eFestivals
Care to show me where I said Sonisphere "wouldn't sell any tickets"? What I've said is that it's quite possible the fest might not sell enough tickets, to the extent that it financially fails and they consider pulling the plug on it. This ^^^^^ ..... .... is not half of the story.
t8yman
come on Neil, spill the beans is it really as big as you say it is? (the "other" news I mean)
