Do you think they'd have Jane's Addiction back after what happened last year? I could understand having them back if they pulled out before the festival but pulling out so late like they did makes me think Melvin won't be in any rush to have them back.

How about:

Maccabees (clashing with Kasabian)

Enter Shikari (clashing with The Cure or whoever headlines on the the indie orientated day)

New Order (clashing with foo fighters)

Maybe swap New Order and Maccabees around. I'd be there for Maccabees and New Order no question.

anyone reckon deadmau5 could be in with a shot of headlining the tent one night? he's pretty massive these days and he played in 2009 so hes not unfamiliar to the festival and wouldn't really look at out place, maybe something similar to 2manydjs last year

wishful thinking more than anything though tbh

It depends if it was truly genuine or not I suppose... personally I was absolutely gutted that they pulled, the main reason I got tickets to see Pulp at Wireless was so I didn't have to worry about the clash at Leeds and I could watch Jane's.

I was waiting in the tent at Reading for them to come one, they set up all the gear, did the soundcheck, everything. Then Dave Navarro walks on and says that Perry's ill so they're not playing, I have a weird suspicion that they just didn't want to play to such a small crowd, seriously, there was hardly anyone in there. So I ended up seeing the Strokes instead, waste of time.

I'd still like to see them some time soon though, saw them support NIN in 09, but I wasn't really into them back then.

I spoke to one woman who said she had waited 19 years to see Janes Addiction. The only reason she went to Reading last year was to see them. She was crying so so much (as was her daughter). I felt sooooo bad for her. I just hope they can make it up to fans like that!

There was a media meeting (I'm sure there's a better term) in their dressing room a couple or so hours before where they chatted to the press and did some photographs ans apparently he seemed OK, not sure if he sang though.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
