I don’t think I’ve heard of burning man goers being called burners before! It’s a distinct style though, seen more at Boomtown (are they called boomers? 😂) and Lost Village. Willy Wonka on acid meets steampunk.
Definitely get there early! Last time he played strummerville people were climbing through the trees to get in, the fencing nearly got pushed over, I thought they would have to shut it down.
His wife (Guise) is playing before him, this could add to the crowd, I'd get there for 2pm if you want a good spot.
All of what mrfunk says plus:
- flares everywhere (burning not fashion)
- Chinese lanterns (before we knew how bad they were, they were great!)
- camping by your car
