Could see Santorum pretty much nailed as well. Depends on how a couple of key states go. Ohio's meant to be pretty key.

Looking forward to a night flicking between CNN and Fox News, love election nights, so much comedy gold out there

Just woken up, switched on the news and what's the current piece? .... "who would Jesus vote for?"

I'll let you know the answer

Edit: the guy was quite interesting actually, the answer was basically none of them. Which is true

After last night I can't see Gingrich holding on much longer. He needed to win those two - seen by most as his home turf - if he had any kind of chance. Think his funding will dry up now and he won't have a choice. Santorum must be wishing he'd fuck off asap because he's splitting the vote. Get him out the way and santorum can really make a charge through the southern states.

This contraception thing, while being absurd and totally terifying, is really hurting the republican's female base. I think Romney is regretting getting pulled so far out right on this one.

In other news, Cameron's visit to the states is getting about as much attention here as it deserves, i.e. None

:bad:

A question. I've only really watched American politics for about a decade and I hear the republicans bang about how "America is on a slippery road...this once great nation...American foundations being destroyed" etc etc all the time, when do they deem America was great and where do they want to take it back to? 40's/50's golden era?

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
