the mobile skin (currently: it will change) has a blue top to the page and no graphics, the standard skin has the standard efestivals page header.

The mobile skin wasn't enabled, but it is now.

To change to it, navigate to the bottom of the forums front page and click on 'change theme', and then select 'IP.Board Mobile'.

I'm viewing on a pc. Just seems to be all quite squashed to the left. I realise there's news and adverts down the right side, but videos and some of the post options are then spilling out over the side onto it. Just wondered if its some multipurpose mobile friendly version.

no, that's probably my screw-ups.

I'm aware that there's some issues still, and I'll get them sorted asap.

In the meantime, so people aren't confused, I'll switch off a couple of things and change something back, so that those issues should be resolved in a few minutes (tho it might take a forced refresh [ctrl-F5] for you to see it).

I quite like this. I even like it on my mobile phone, although peoples avatars seem to be massive, especially if they dont have one and it is the silhouette image. Although the banner ad in the middle of a forum is bigger that is no issue, maybe I should just cough up for a subscription ;)

Oh smilies don't seem to be showing.

edit: In my settings I can't seem to find the board options i.e number of posts per page etc.

it's very definitely not.

I've noticed that, and will look to get it sorted this morning.

not sure on this one - I'll look into it.

was awfy shite when i first came on, too thin. now it's been extended it's quite cool

I find it hard to believe that it was actually "too thin", rather than it merely being your personal atheistic preference. The forum width is (sort-of) fixed, so things can't be narrowed too much, and text is far easier to read at a narrower width (which is the reason for columns in newspapers) than a wide one.

It's not like the post content width was stupidly narrow before I switcherd it back - it was over 600 pixels wide, which is wider than the content part of pages in the main part of the site. (No one has ever complained about those content parts being too narrow, but a number of people have complained they're too wide.)

So to help me understand how you're seeing the issue, can you please tell me what screen resolution you're running, and which browser you're using?
