Alright all, been following this thread for a while now and wondered if anyone could help me out with a few questions?

1. What is it like with regards to being able to get your own alcohol into the arena?

2. Any suggestions on how much to take? i'm going for the full 8 days camping plus 3 nights in Benidorm after the festival. i was thinking around 800 euro.

3. Are shuttle buses available from the train station to the festival site? if so are they free?

4. during the first few days of camping without music, are there any clubs/bars that anyone recommends in the town or is it a case of have a party on the camp site?

nice one, can't wait now 12 days til we fly out!

2 girls coming by ourselves, we're wondering whether to bother with a proper tent or maybe just get one to lock our stuff in and then find some kind of shade to sleep under during the day? Does anyone know if there are places we could get cheap camping gear in the town as we're flying in with easyjet and we haven't paid for check in bags.

Also we haven't sorted transfers yet, we arrive on 11th to barca and are flying back on 17th from alicante, does anyone know what its best to do on the 16th, should we just get ourselves to alicante and find a cheap hotel?

haha so unorganised! But so excited :)

OK guys im relying on you experienced Beni goers....those of you who have needed a taxi, rough guesstimate of a 30 mile journey?? We are in Alcossebre which is a bus-free zone by the looks of things. I realise the cab drivers will fire the prices up around festival time, have any of you tried to haggle and been successful?

Hey, I'm a bit stuck on this free transport link. The country of origin box only gives you spanish options, can we just say we're from alicante? Or does this mean which city are we wanting the bus from? Once you book it do they email you a ticket? For £3 feels good to actually get something sorted, and if we can't find the bus we've only lost a few quid!

We're flying into Barcelona and then getting the train across. We couldn't face 4.5 hours on a bus. Can have comfort and beers on the train. Train takes 2.5 hours.

Anyone else taking the train?

Stage times will get released on monday 9th. The festival usually kicks of around 5/6pm if i remember correctly. Might be slightly later on Thu due to less acts. Don't have a clue about transport from Oropesa!

Does anyone know if Rail-Europe is a legit site for train tickets? anyone used them before?

tried using Renfe, but even when you go on the English site, it still says it all in Spainish so hard to understand and kept giving me errors.

Not sure if anyone has already replied to this? But when i tried using renfe i had similar problems...i bought my tickets from rail europe, they arrived the next day and they definitely look legit to me. Came in one of those ticket holders the whole works.

    • I'm sure you like silly music too but is it because it's not a Download traditional type act it gets looked down on? Rock am Ring booked them, and they sell every year so don't actually need to   Andy going and being replaced is the best thing that could have happened to Download, someone fresh to mix it up a bit rather than just a complete rotation. The only reason Andy booked ST in ti headline too was because he loves them and he was going on to manage them. Nah, Andy booked FOB in a year where over 20 acts were asked, I'll guarantee if they get Blink and having had Green Day they did not need 20 bands to come to those. FOB are also not one that have been booked in Europe to headline by anyone other than Reading as co-headliner as far as I can see. They weren't a ooh god yes they've booked FOB.
    • Would love to see them headline as well, but agree with Mr Bailey ☹️
    • I think it's just a slight shift in target audience of the festival, Andy also booked FOB    A lot of young people (me included) are nostalgic for the 2000's pop punk and nu metal rather than the 80's legacy bands    It's just the festival moving with the times I think Andy would of done the same    Although they are still booking some legacy acts like GNR but that doesn't seem to have gone well ticket sales wise
    • Trent said he’s working on new Nine Inch Nails musicnand that Coachella was the farewell show for Nine Inch Noize.   Would be over the moon to have any of the options at Prima 2027, though
