its a great draw on paper for liverpool, then again they are normally quite good against the top sides, so who knows. As a neutral I personally hope liverpool lose the semi, nothing personal to the club, but I prefer to see different teams getting to finals and I would also love to see moyes rewarded for his efforts at everton.

I don't just mean in that they're playing traditionally weak teams, but they're playing teams who just don't turn up and put in a non-performance. Against Wigan Man U were awful yet still won 5-0, they weren't that much better against Fulham.

There certainly are times Man U have played well - the Chelsea game 2nd half was certainly a good performance, but I don't actually think Man U were any better against Wigan than against Bilbao.

He has been when in conjunction with Cisse. He's still playing well, but not the first target in the box.

Krul's absolutely fantastic, seriously amazingly fantastic. Keeping him has to be one of the top priorities.

Manager of the season will be an interesting one this year. I suspect its going to be a year when it goes outside the top 4. I would say its between pardew, rodgers and lambert. My vote (providing they dont fall apart) would be rodgers not just because of results, but also for the style a team of relative unknowns have played. They have really proven people wrong who have said the stoke style is the only way of prospering. I would also shortlist joe allen for player of the year but suspect the award wil be dominated by big names as normal. Can see a bigger side snapping him up this season.

Bit of both.

Everyone saying united are shit, especially pundits and how its worst united side in years.

United have won 8 and drew 1 since scholes returned. Ran the show again today.

Utd have looked off the boil for quite a while in my eyes (I reckon the number of games they've won via penalties lately gives that away).

I didn't see yesterday's game, only the highlights, but they looked far better. The one major difference that jumped out at me is the return of Valencia.

So perhaps they have been (comparatively, for Utd) shit for a while?
