I don't disagree with you, but .....

Mancini has said something about Tevez which is likely to have a significant impact on Tevez's future career. It's just about the worst thing that anyone can say about a professional footballer.

So if the truth of the matter is Tevez's version of what happened, then I can understand why he'd be so pissed off to follow thru with legal action.

Maybe yeah but to be fair to Mancini, hes a class act.

he's certainly got more class than Hughes had as City boss. But that doesn't mean he's incapable of making an error.

I've no idea what the truth of things is, but I reckon it's probably not too difficult for the sort of misunderstanding that Tevez claimed happened to have happened, when put in the full context of the two people involved speaking different native languages and perhaps both using their non-native language of English at that time, along with all the distractions and noise of a match being played.

Maybe yeah but to be fair to Mancini, hes a class act. Tevez has proved, multiple times, thats he is not.

I'm sure there would have had to be rumblings from Tevez about not getting his his 6m "loyalty" bonus before the Bayern game and maybe a threat of something as a result. City have taken their time over this and are not likely to make mistakes with Abu Dhabi's legal team behind them where as Tevez has a money grabbing buffoon as an "advisor".

"Tevez", "loyalty" and "bonus" in the same sentence! I hope they let him rot in the reserves until hes 30.

Im sure newcastle will fall away but I hope not too much. Im not sure whether its come from pardew or ashley but in my opinion newcastle have had the cleverest transfer policy of the last year. Selling carrol for an inflated price was a no brainer but I have been impressed with other decisions. The media said they were stupid to get rid of Barton and Nolan and have been proven wrong.

Also impressed by the fact they are happy to take in the "english premium" for players like carroll but are sensible in the fact they wont pay multi million fees for mediocre english players and instead have gone after top young players abroad who will probably be sold on at a huge profit in the next few years. To me this is the most sustainable way of working the transfer market untill ridiculous prices for english players come down. I would say there are only 3 or 4 english strikers better than Ba (probably says as much as the quality of english strikers as that of Ba) so why invest millions when you can get the same quality free.

No, I'm playing Devil's Advocate. If you can afford a computer and get free time during the day to do not much on the internet, you can't have it that bad. Footballers quite often are tossers, but considering the every day training, evening games, weekend games, they probably actually spend more hours working than most of us 'in the real world'.

Popping on the internet is just a little perk our boss affords us as long as the work gets done, but im not getting paid 200 grand a week and the work gets done. For the money they're on or should I say demanding off clubs nowadays they should be training every day, and I bet most of the time its just half day training sessions. It breaks my heart when they complain about sometimes having to play 3 games in the space of a week, the poor things.

Cracking game. Best of the season so far. Delighted I watched it, end-to-end, some brilliant quality.

Atrocious defending though. Terry and Cech particularly bad. I'm still not convinced by Chelsea, I think they could plausibly finish 4th or 5th. I think they're missing Essien's control over midfield, I haven't seen enough from Mikel to suggest to me that he's a top defensive midfielder. Torres didn't look like continuing his recent form today. It's just one game, but there's quite a lot of improvement needed.

The sunday supplement team continue to annoy me more and more. Yesterday they were calling villas boas an imposter and unproven, yet they constantly lick redknapps ass who has won less than the chelsea manager in a fraction of the time. I think he has taken a tough job on, theres a lot of players past their best who need moving on in the next couple of years so it wont happen overnight. If I hear another person call cole the best left back in the world I will throw something at the tv. Its very debatable if he ever was, despite often repeated as if fact, I have never heard anyone who doesnt watch predominatly premiership football make the statement.

Impressed by spurs and liverpool. Spurs midfield excites me and they seem to contrubute goals which is important as the strikers dont. Apart from suarez liverpool players dont excite me but they are very hard ot beat which could be the telling factor over 38 games..

Never really noticed him apart from the last few weeks but sessignon (probably spelt wrong) is impressing me from what I see on MOTD. Swansea and Norwich continue to impress not just in results but the spirit they play the game. I remember when gardener got his 2nd yellow on saturday the swansea player stayed on his feet, in the same situation suzrez or nani would have been rolling on the ground, clutching their head.

At the bottom I wonder if Martinez underestimated the teams coming up and regrets not going to villa. As for blackburn I actually think they have quite a few decent players and the sooner keen is sacked the better.

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
