Did not head over myself as ques are not my type of entertainment but did anyone on here check it out and was it good? Loads of details and pics if possible!! :)

Was not happy about not been able to head over, but if I was to I would have had to sacrifice a chuck of my night :(

To me it was que for hours or head over hours early.........I did not fancy either.....

(Obviously Im not a big enough fan!! ;) )

We went quickly after the Chemical Brothers finished and didn't have to queue much at all. I was pretty disappointed to be honest, particularly when we realised too late that Fatboy Slim and Carl Cox were on in the Unfairground. Underwhelming tunes

Sorry to dispoint those who wanted to see them and didn't .. but we got to the queue at half one (expected to queue till like three and spend the night elsewhere) and got in to Arcadia for 2. The queue time was just a lie, for your future reference.

I am 22 and really uneducated in that style of music, but I had an absolute whale of a time. They were way better than I thought they would be and I had a lot of fun. I can only tell you they played 'Heaven is a place on Earth'. Appologies for being so ignorant of them, but you can at least know I am now a convert.

On the opposite end of the scale - me, massive Orbital fan, seen them about 40 times now since Glasto 95, I dont live in Australia because the Hartnolls reformed in 2009 and we hoofed it in less than 10 minutes from The Other Stage to the PGC SL entrance to be there in good time for the Orbital set.

In amongst an awesome Hartnoll set, they dropped Chime Crime (the new remix with Material Girl sample), may have popped the Tom Middleton Halcyon in (but I was very spangled) and they finished the fairly long set with Impact, Halcyon (full new live version - including Opus III Fine Day sample) and ended with Doctor Who.

The atmosphere down the front and under the speakers was immense. Anyone told there wasnt any room in Arcadia was told the FATTEST LIES EVER!!! The arena was nearly empty! I dont reckon there was any more than 10,000 people tops in a field that can easily hold up to 40,000! Quite shocking really. That field is huge but noone was being told there was a feckload of space on The Common side. :(

I thought the lack of people detracted from it. I was expecting at least a newish remix or something from them but it all was a bit one paced. Compared to Evil nine in Sharkeys on Friday or SL2 the following night it was pretty lame imo

This is very odd........how come so many contradictory stories about the ques into the the late night areas exist?

I did not head over that way at night myself so I can not speak from experience but the seemingly conflicting stories are to me very strange???

Did the que system actually work and people just love to moan about anything and everything or was it a shambles??

Surprises me that one could que for only 30 minutes when there are stories all over these threads about people being told the que time was 120min but ended waiting 3 hours only to be told its closed or you are not getting in............ <_<

You where always going to be there!

Vids posted so far look like the crowd is a bit "meh whatever" with only a few going ape for em.........

I dont think I yet fully regret my decision to skip it....I have seen Orbital a fair few times in various sized venues and have great memories (just about) and I feared this was going to be something very very special.....but other vids may prove me wrong and then regret will hit me hard........which of course I dont want

Because as we all know..........its better to regret something you have done then to regret something you havent done!! ;)

Not sure if it a repeat from last year but there appears to be a show by Orbital on 6 Music coming up on the Iplayer shortly. I cant click on it yet but if its the show they did last year, the DJ set is brilliant and I think it includes some of the gig they played in Sydney in early 2010.
