the Kanye info has no more weight behind it than all the other bollocks that has come through these forums unfortunately. could be right but could just as easily be nonsense

yup - I was merely passing on stuff that had come my way which I had no particular reason to put any belief in (and so didn't).

Bands that are playing reading I want to see in Glasto:

Frank Turner (Plz)

A$AP ROCKY

Twin Atlantic

Chase & Status - TBC

Foals - TBC

White Lies

Alt - J TBC

Jake Bugg TBC

Imagine Dragons

Phoenix

Azealia Banks TBC

Haim (look we all know they will).

See majority of the acts playing reading will probably play glastonbury as well, theres a chance all of those i've listen are playing. Apart from the headliners/big acts i'm not jealous of reading at all.

Plus as much as we like to deny/hate it. I reckon Skrillex will make an appearance for a late night dance tent!

Roskilde Festival's Facebook says they will be releasing their full lineup on 18 April. Will be interesting to see if they share a headliner and/or a lineup announcement date. Crossing my fingers for Bowie. He cancelled his 2004 Roskilde performance.

Just listened to popmaster on radio 2, one of the contestants was asked about going to Glastonbury. He said he was going and said prince was headlining and said he was very excited to see him.

Obviously he has just read/heard this somewhere but it just made me laugh how many rumours there are and how far they can reach. Also how little anybody knows this year about this 3rd headliner.

As much as we all want to know the headliners you have to admit it builds excitement and gets so many people talking.

Having said that im desperate to know the line up NOW!!

    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
