don't get me started on how amazing One Direction are

the musical snobbery in this forum is fantastic. it's like people are actually afraid to appreciate some good catchy music just because it charts, has some c*nty fans and may make you seem 'uncool'. well fuck that

Erm, again with your liberal use of the word music. One Direction are not music. They are the living, breathing, cracker-spawn of Simon Cowell's wet dreams. They are a marketing exercise aimed at the weak and stupid. Nothing more, nothing less. Just marketing.

i don't want to see them headline Glastonbury either, or JT, but any of them being there would be a bloody great laugh and a really good time

i love One Direction, and i'm not ashamed to say that. they are definitely a product of the media and everything wrong with the world, but my god is What Makes You Beautiful a seriously good pop song

One Direction & Carly Rae-Jepsen have brought out some ridiculously good pop singles in the past year or so. I've grown out of pretending I don't enjoy some pop songs these days. Hell, I even enjoy some Rihanna tracks that I hear.

Not ashamed to say I've always enjoyed Destiny's Child though, sensational.

    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
