Anyone else not going to Glasto..?

Is there anyone else out there that is a little miserable today; hearing all your mates have started to rock up to Glasto and you cant go this year? Just heard a couple of my mates have already pitched their tents and have a 'bow in hand.....while im sat in my office staring out the window with envy! Boo!

The kicker for me is that i actually had a ticket, but had to hand it back to fund a honeymoon and another holiday, which dont get me wrong were awesome but just very jealous of all your festival goers now!

My Boss at work just said to me "you seem a bit down today Dirty_dave, everything OK" - "Yeah, just wishing i was else where boss"....haha

Im in the same boat pal. All my mates have set off this morning but i give this year a miss to pay for my wedding and honeymoon at the end of next month. Roll on next monday when it will all be over.

Yep getting married next month. so I'm sat at home slightly down now it's all kicking off in Glastonbury. Trying my best not to make my fiancée feel like she's stopped me going. (cause she hasn't it was my own stupid choice!)

After finding out at 11pm last night that I cant go im more than miserable....my boyf and I are behaving like there has been a death in the family.

No i'm not going either, just decided last year can't afford it , my son is there working, he arrived yesterday. It's his first time there working with a bunch of mates. I'm listening to Worthy FM, watching weather reports and checking webcams, sucker for punishment eh

Giving it a miss his year me and the missus has a little boy last year and I can't really get off and leave them both to get wasted at Glasto for a week, I feel sick at the moment though.

Its impossible not to watch the webcams.....i've had to get refunds the last 2 years due to my son's exam timetable.....the only way I can pacify myself today & tomorrow is looking at them and then watching on tv from Friday.....Kendal Calling for me this year

Just checked out Bearded Theory and it seems to run across my birthday....could be a great option to bolster the gap between Glasto being absent!!

Plus £75 for 3 days aint gonna break the bank!

Yep, just come back from Honeymoon, so am actually off work now, and having to put up with the new coverage and Facebook updates.

yep, home alone here too. i refunded my ticket after some heavy soul searching and all my friends left last night. i'm only here to keep an eye on special guests and weather reports for them. and cos i'm sort of addicted. i'm gonna try and miss most of the live tv coverage though. i've learned from hard experience that it's best to catch up on the iplayer and not see it as it happens. less of a mind f*@k.

not going. had to drive to Bristol yesterday for a meeting today. now at Michael Wood services on way home and I've crossed bridge to get among the freaks on the way. why am I doing this to myself?

Missing it this year due to having 3 young kids, and the fact that leaving my wife on her own to cope with them for 6 days seems unfair. I'm listening to Worthy FM just to twist the knife in the wound a little deeper. Just spoke to my sister, who is on site, and even the description of the mud made me sick with envy. <sigh> Only the third one I've missed since 1990.

I missed 2008 - persuaded myself that I was too old for it and it was time to go on proper holidays. I'm never doing that again - I was literally wandering from one room to another in my house constantly telling my girlfriend what was happening there and swearing at everything that moved about not being there. One of my worst weekends ever.

I feel genuinely awful for people not there that wish they were - it's a horrid feeling. I'm so sorry. Only about 730 days until the next one!

I'm not going... it's tough My friends are there and have even had the kindness of sending me a picture of their set-up.

I do have a very good reason and I wouldn't change it for the world - the birth of my baby son 5 weeks ago. Even with the best will in the world I thought it was pushing it taking a 5 week old!! I'll be glued to the net and TV over the coming days and back in 2013 with him!
