metalica apparently have some unwritten rule where they headline every 5 years so i think they'll be there, plus they've already played everywhere else

biffy are expected to get the bump up with a new album

bloc party are in thte same boat as biffy, however i could see us getting landed with the killers

I cant see it being Blur, with them playing in Hyde Park. But we all know to take 'exclusive' not too seriously. I'm still hoping for Green Day, but just cos that is who I want to play out of all the rummours doesn't mean its going to happen.

Things have been quiet about The Cure for a little while have we ruled them out now?

I can't believe that after 556 pages, over 11,000 replies and nearly 750,000 views (plus the fact that we don't know this years third headliner) that people are making guesses for next year

Still at least it proves that I'm not the only one bored out of my skull at work! And if you can't beat um join um so:

Biffy

Metallica

The Stone Roses

    • Hmm, weird- Rush are playing the Co-Op live on the 12th and the 14th, and Megadeth are the meat in that sandwich - so they have to roll everything in, roll it out again, only to roll it back in and then out - here's hoping for a prog hokey-cokey with all manner of bizarre time signatures and drum solos!
    • Depends what you mean by seeing 'more stuff' about it.    I definitely don't trust the original Sun article.

    • Chill. There is no chance Sziget will be cancelled by the government. Even the prime minister held a press conference today, where he confirmed this.   Magyar said they do not want to shut down the country or prevent events from taking place. He gave the example that vetoing an event would be like completely cutting off a large consumer’s electricity supply for the organizers. However, just as they have not taken such a measure against large consumers, they have not taken steps to cancel events either. (Magyar did not name a specific event, but he was presumably referring specifically to the Sziget Festival.) At the same time, Péter Magyar stressed that if disruptions occur in the system or the heatwave persists, it could become necessary to postpone or reschedule events (example: some Hungarian football games will probably be held in daylight, moved to a few hours earlier, to save energy), although he believes there is currently little chance of that happening. This is particularly true for events that rely entirely, or largely, on their own energy sources.
    • If the campervan field residents aren’t allowed to cut through orchid they’ve got a brutal walk on their hands.   otherwise not too many surprises
