as far as i can tell, maiden said they would be touring 2013 for the rest of the world...

I wouldn't say that rules them out entirely, surely two UK dates a week later wouldn't make a great difference?

I think it makes them less likely! To travel all that time over the USA and Canada and then fly over just to play two shows in the UK! Why not follow the tour up and play in germany and France and spain whilst your close by!

Presumably the majority of the band lives in the UK anyway though? 2 dates for a decent fee a week after their US tour finishes isn't exactly a way out or unrealistic idea... I don't actually think the 3rd headliner will be Maiden, but I wouldn't totally rule them out based on this.
