Looking at V fests lineup, I feel sorry for people going. Like sure they've got some good artists but seriously! keep people like Nicki Minaj, Olly Murs and Ed Sheeran to R1BW and T4 on the beach.

V really is an abomination of a festival isn't it? Say what you want about recent Reading and Leeds line-ups but at least we always get a fair share of credible acts. Over there they just book a few big Indie bands and the rest of the line-up consists of whatever dross is in the charts at the minute.

The sort of people who go...well, look up Chino w*nker on Twitter. He really encapsulates their demographic. Trendy, tweenie pop loving idiots who only like whatever's spoonfed to them. They spend a weekend at V which would have otherwise seen them at whatever shit trendy club that plays manufactured, auto-tuned chart rubbish that they think is the most "banter" place ever.

Last year's line-up for Reading and Leeds wasn't perfect but I'll be damned if anyone thinks it's worse than a festival which books the likes of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Tinie Tempah.

They don't deserve The Stone Roses.

I reckon if he was gonna play fest with it, he would've done it last year. Maybe he's working on a new one or something? IDK :P I just can't imagine him playing on his own, I think maybe he lacks a bit of charisma that Pete has.

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
