I think thats the only reason people are thinking 30stm are going to play, because they are the only band "suited" to play under MCR, but R&L have never really gone by the book (50 cent before green day) and I think we could be in for a shock.

yeah i doubt mumford will sub. unless of course pulp don't play. reading can't have three lighter subs, especially considering one of them will have to sub to MCR. i'm not saying MCR are the heaviest band in the world but it would look pretty strange having mcr playing after any of elbow, pulp and mcr. unfortunately i think it will be 30stm, but you never know... if pulp don't ply then i guess mumford could take their spot before strokes, could be very interesting.

Maybe Bullet For My Valentine?

Somewhat similar to My Chemical Romance, established arena band, they're heavy which is needed for the possible line up, not played in ages and Download & R&L both have had bands that have played mainstage before.

Why are so many people thinking it's gonna be 30STM as they fit with MCR but so much denial about MCR headlining? I don't care who it is as long as it's not 30STM, MCR I get but don't like but 30STM just plain piss me off.

Any chance for Placebo?

Placebo? Good shout. They would do nicely.

How about the Manics? I reckon they have quite a broad appeal and could fit in on any day. But the question is could they still command a sub headliner spot?

Manics are at V and I doubt would command the spot. Placebo as far as I know aren't really around by I stranger things have happened.

Lets get Avenged Sevenfold down. Mostly same reasoning as Bullet plus have been booked before but had to pull out.

I suggested placebo a while back but under muse. I'd like it to be Placebo, yet I think it will be 30STM. After seeing 30STM live there is no way they deserve to be in that slot, I hate it when singers give the mic out to the crowd to sing along, andJL does it every song. OK on record apaling live.

I'm reaching again and going to say Jane's Addiction?

Not played any english fests since their 2nd reunion, got an album coming out soon, are playing other fests and would give some crediblity if MCR & 30STM are playing the same day.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
