Some people who went to Frank Turner's last minute gig in Manchester last night are saying that he self confirmed for Glasto - I had previously thought this was unlikely given that he has mainland Europe tour dates either side of Glasto weekend. What does everyone think?!

Really hope he is playing, best bit of last year for me was seeing Frank Turner, Beans on Toast and of course Billy Bragg at Bill's Big Round up in the Leftfield tent :-)

He said something fairly ambitious like 'see you all at the festivals'. I was at the second show though, he may have said something different earlier on. To be honest it would surprise me if he didn't play, why else would he leave a 3 day gap in his tour dates?

I'm not too bothered though because it will never be as good as last night :D

Think there was an interview with him, or a post on his forum, where he said he was talking to some festivals and named glasto and r/l specifically, hence why there are SR on here. But hes since been announced for download, so who knows if anythings changed. Wouldn't mind seeing him, always really enjoyed him live but seen him plenty of times

Would of thought he probably would do. Despite them dates the first poster, posted. If not we're pretty much guaranteed Beans on Toast to play.

I think someone mentioned in another thread that he is headlining Avalon on Friday night. I'd be gutted about that as I really want to see U2 but loooove Frank too. However, I've seen Frank about 4 times since last year's LF show so would probably stick with U2 if this is the clash. I'm not a huge U2 fan but I think it will be a talking point of this year's Glastonbury so I'll check it out - however I'll make sure I'm on the side of the Pyramid that will let me make a quick dash to Avalon if its dirge!

    • As first timers last year the whole set-up blew our mind with the fire on the Sunday, it seemed you could get too close and I didn’t like dodging falling embers!
    • I'd be absolutely amazed if they went without a female headliner.

    • Kinda sounds like we’re heading towards Fender, Fontaines & Harry however I can’t see them not getting a female headliner so think it’ll be Fender or Fontaines and another. They’ll obviously try for Madonna but they’ve also tried before, really depends on whether she’s bothered about it.
