Now this would put a smile on my face. Any chance ?

Are they any good then? As someone has said they're playing Wireless on Sunday - can anyone sum them up in, I don't know, 6 words? 7?

Yeah really excited about this. I hope they announce some more UK dates aswell cos i really wanna go see them at their own gig, and i dont fancy attempting anything on the Monday and Manchester is miles away from me.

Gotta be a shoe-in really just hope its Park stage, although be happy with John Peel. Or anywhere actually.

Edit :- in terms of listening Wolf Like Me is probably their most commercial song (and a cracking tune) but my personal faves are Dreams, DLZ, Dancing Choose, Hours, Ambulance, A Method. Although i love about 20 songs of theirs.

Hmmm I've listened before and never really got into them (although liked really like Wolf Like Me), if I'd had to think back I wouldn't have thought of them as funk either, but saying that, I wouldn't be able to give a good description at all from memory now.

I'll have to go back to relisten to them. Heard the new album is good.

Will use the tracks above to cherry pick, the better tracks to listen to first :D

Really looking forward to their new album, out at the beginning of June i think. Park headliners on the Saturday or Sunday would be perfect.

Oh and Lanegan has announced a few more solo dates in the states at the start of June, book him up Eavi!

Interesting band, I like them, appreciate what they do, admire their work, but they don't give me that 'swing me around by the bollocks all over the room' feeling.

Definitely would be good to have them in the lineup, no question.

    • I don't really worry about headliners (unless there's a real possibility of a once-in-a-lifetime artist landing for it) but I'm starting to feel a bit cold on the names floating around bar Fontaines.  Harry Styles and Sam Fender, I can see the value and commercially speaking, they've earned it.  Sabrina Carpenter is obviously popular enough to do it - but after she's headlined everywhere else and done Coachella earlier this year, is it not just a bit predictable to follow what other festivals have done?
    • Bollocks to “safe” headliners, bollocks to the masses. Get interesting, get risky, challenge people.
    • The Cure would be a dream, I can definitely see them doing a second run of festivals they may have missed this year and they seem the definitive Latitude act  If they do festivals next year maybe The Strokes could be a shout? Im stunned either them or Kings of Leon haven't played yet This is a great shout for names, youre right that CMAT is taking a year out though - we're like to know more in the autumn when festivals start making announcements  The only other act I'd really love to see is Idles headline the tent
    • Very sad for Greazy Alice
    • Nino 3.4 anomaly already in 'very strong' (>2.0C) territory.  That's very impressive for July which is still early days for El Nino development.
