Death to the MO crew! Claim to be caring about food: well not so caring that they can be arsed serving something different for the first time in a billion years. The McDonalds of the green fields.

No. 7 or so quid for a bowl consisting mainly of sauteed potatoes does not good value make. When will people realise they're just getting tasty POTATOES with perhaps ONE SMALL sausage and paying loads of money for the priviledge? The Grand Bouffe is in fact evil.

I've always fancied but never dared to try the Goan Fish Curry place. Loads of people on here and on site have raved about it, but a fish curry/worst toilets on earth combo sounds like a risky strategy to me. Is it likely to leave me blowing fizzy gravy or not?

I didn't eat anything bad the entire time I was at Glasto last year, my highlight was the goat curry from the West Indian stall to the left of the Brothers bar. The only thing I had that was a bit disappointing was a Pieminster pie but it was still better than the junk you get at other festivals. I want to try some different stalls this year but its going to be hard to resist going back to all the nice ones from last year.

Forgot to mention that in my experience the food around West Holts/Green Fields is better and better value than a lot of other areas. The stalls nearer the Pyramid/Other are by and large shite.

I know that some people (Boris) don't get the Tartiflette Potatoes thing but it tastes SOOOOOO good. Yeah it's basically sauteed potatoes with sausage on the top, but that is not the whole story. They put loads of wine, garlic, herbs and cream in to potatoes and slow cook them for ages. The sausage is organic pork cooked in red wine. It's DELICIOUS and that' the point. I am in fact drooling as I think about it. Yeah £7 sounds a lot, but in a decent restaurant it would cost you over twice that.

I love La Grande Bouffe. My first year was 2007 and I remember going up in the pissing rain, a little tipsy, being quite confused at their French accents and then thankful for this enormous tasty warm bowl of potatoes and bacon and stuff that sorted me out for the rest of the day.

Yes I know in terms of raw materials it's quite expensive, but my god it's worth every penny when you're cold, wet or very hungry...

Goan Fish Curry is the best festival food stall EVER!! The Creole place was pretty nice too, although it's kinda annoying to get a proper plate and cutlery. Was getting food with my friends and then realised I had to stay put til I finished my meal so I could give the plate back

The Churro place promised my friend free churros if she did the cinnamon challenge. She did it, and got LOOOOOOOOOADS of free churros. She even saw the stall at other festivals and kept getting free churros!

Got to agree with the Tartiflette love, it may be a bit expensive but it was delicious and therefore good value for money imo especially when you consider how much you get charged for a manky little portion of chips from other places. I didn't try the sausages but they looked good too.

+1 for la Grand Bouffe. Its not Glastonbury without a pint of Brothers and a plate of froggy spuds. I know its about 20p worth of spud and a 50p sos, but hell its good.

Yup I went there one afternoon, was it not about a £5 for 4 or 5 different items.. bloody lovely

Worst food I had was at one of those apparently right on cafes in the Greenfields - five quid for a quarter of a 9 inch "organic wholemeal" pizza, the texture of a frisbee which had barely been shown some cheese and tomato and two limp bits of lettuce as "salad". And two quid for a can of organic cola. It took them half an hour to serve it and they short-changed me.

The heat seemed to play tricks with my mind and prevented me from eating a normal amount that I'd eat at home, which was actually quite a shame as I was looking forward to trying out plenty of places. I can only remember trying out the Thali cafe, the burger stand which did the garlic guzzler (I had the pork burger with apple sauce which was lovely), and then tried out the oggy.

Hopefully I'll be able to eat a bit more this year, it was frustrating to walk past so many places that I'd heard loads of good things about and not feeling hungry in any way whatsoever.

Come across what I can remember was an Ethiopian place, in a drunkern haze, near Pennards(i think) and it was quite late, not many places were open and I ordered this curry, which the woman assured me wasnt too hot. Absolutely blew my b*ll*cks off!!! also had no drink to soothe the burn and this place only served this sweet syrupy kind of juice, can't remember the name of the juice or the name of the place, just remember it was quite a big tent with benches outside.

The people were lovely and so welcoming mind...

The Bagel Dude who was near where the Leftfield tent used to be (and i think was back there last year) basically right by the meeting point/info area.

Had one every morning (was camped in Big Ground) most lushious bagels, everything tasted fresh and the guys runing the stall were nice and friendly.

Did a great coffee too...sorted me right out each morning!!

Another shout for Yam the Cassava - near to The Queens Head.

Amazing saltfish, and the cornbread is just gorgeous - so sweet & light and fluffy!

I also love square pies with mash and peas - proper food to stop you from flagging! Again - there is on near the Queens Head and last year there was also one by the Other stage - I think the one by the Queens head is better though.

As a commited and dedicated eater I think the food is probably the think I look forward to the most! But out of all the choices I think I look forward to the Oggie and The Growler more than any other but we found a really nice pizza place last year near to Ped gate C which we stopped of to most nights on our way back to the camper van fields.

Also a quick shout out to the haloumi wraps near the Pyramid for a really nice tasty snack between bands.

There was a new Caribbean food stall literally over from the Cider Bus (facing into the market, not directly opposite). Huge queues and for a reason. Bloody incredible and very affordable grub. If anyone can remember the name, that would be great. I think 'Annie' may have been in the title.

I had a nibble from a chicken wrap that one of our crew was feeding on whilst we got together at the Cider Bus during Slash's show. I went to the stall myself a few hours later, queued for a while but a crisp fiver bought me an enormous wrap filled with great chicken and veg and you could add your own sauces...watch out for some of them though. Seriously hot if you are not careful.

Tartiflette has off and on batches. Sometimes a portion of Originalle can be way too salty, other times it can be just what you need in the starch stakes.

Goan Fish Curry is good, I waited 10 Glastos before I visited. Only complaint is the price. £7+ for a small portion isnt good.

The Moroccan food stall that is just near/opposite Pennards Wines which is on the walkway out of Avalon on the low run to the Greenfields main road (leave the field with the pirate ship bar on your left) is a great deal. £7 will get you a mahoosive platter of all sorts of very nommy and filling food. Very worth queueing for.
