Nope, not underwhelmed at all. They haven't pulled out any of the big hitters yet, but it's a solid bill with loads more great stuff to come. Never thought it'd be the case, but I'd go, regardless of who was playing now. They just manage to put loads of artists on that please me, whether I've heard them before or not.

Can't wait to see who they announce tomorrow, but I must stop building my hopes up by thinking about that timing with the Primavera announcement.

I'm going to keep telling myself that it can't be Sufjan for these very reasons, and also in the hope that it won't make me incredibly disappointed.

I still think the timing of the announcement is telling. Looking at the Primavera announcement, any of the following could be possible, some more likely than others:

AVI BUFFALO

EL GUINCHO

M. WARD

MATTHEW DEAR

OF MONTREAL

PJ HARVEY

SUFJAN STEVENS

SUUNS

THE TALLEST MAN ON EARTH

WARPAINT

So it'll probably be none of them.

I LOVE The Leisure Society, so this is especially great news for me. Megafaun were a pull out from last year weren't they? But haven't heard any of the others, so some good discoveries for me here.

Looks like ljsawyer was right in his "undercard" prediction.

I somehow (don't ask) got Darren Hanlon confused with Richard Hawley (!) (I think I went Hanlon = Hayman = guy who does "The Streets Are Ours" (I know, I know) - I clearly need more coffee).

I've actually seen Darren Hanlon (supporting Magnetic Fields). He's an Aussie singer-songwriter type, plays upbeat folk/pop. Wikipedia calls him 'quirky' and says he used to play backup in the Lucksmiths, which makes sense to me. If you like Allo Darlin you might like him.

Yeah, someone I know, who's taste I generally align with, recommended Darren Hanlon when I said who'd been added today. Seeing a You Am I comparison on Last.FM as well, so that's good. Although it's probably because they're both Aussies, rather than any musical similarities.

Like most on here, made up with Leisure Society and Laura Marling, some research needed on the others but that's part of the joy. Who knows one of those "unknowns" could be this year's Citay/Wolf People/London Snorkelling Team....

Thursday is a given. In true tradition we will be there about an hour before the gates open - gotta make sure we get the happy campers spot sorted!

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
