Does anyone else score the bands they see at Glasto - or are our gang sad?

We devised a system a few years ago where bands are scored on a 0-10 (10 being good). It helps us remember after the haze who we saw and is a great discussion point at the end of the night.

In a way it's hard to compare a stadium rock band to a young solo singer songwriter but our yardstick is: "For what they do, how well do they do it?" So, for example, Springsteen might only get a 7 out of 10 for a stadium rock performance while a young woman folkie playing solo acoustic or a pub rock band could get an 8 or a 9. It doesn't mean that they're better than Springsteen just that they did what they do really well.

We now use it whenever we see bands not just at Glasto.

On that basis my 10 at Glasto this year was Ray Davies and my 10 outside Glasto was Chris Farlowe and the Norman Beaker Band when they played at a small music venue in Cardiff last month.

You don't even have to like a band to be able to score them. For example, should Take That play Glasto next year whether you like them or not you can still score how well they did what they do.

my 9/10 this year went to Frank Turner in the Queens head... thought it was an almost perfect gig

I'll be going to see Frank Turner in Oxford at the weekend and again the following week at Brixton. He's v cool.

My Wife is an obsessive compulsive organiser. She does stuff like that. We were talking about the fest last year and I was having a gander at the clashfinder. She looks over my shoulder, I explain what it is. She then goes on about highlighting the sections according to preference in different colours where there's a clash, then offering to set reminders on my phone for 30 minutes before each act so I don't miss anything. I tell her to stop being such a saddo and that I'll probably end up in a random field, pissed, talking with strangers and watching a midget juggler. Honestly, she almost freaked out at my carefree attitude and stormed off. f**king weirdo.

I find it's worth getting organised before Glasto while our sensible heads are still on. Hopefully enough of our planning will then still remain in place once we go through the gates and take them off.

I don't score them but I do review every band I've seen in exactly 3 words on my last.fm. I think that's just as nerdy

Can't be bothered personally. To be honest it hadn't even crossed my mind and if I did not sure how I would. I'd end up scoring something 10 and then something will supercede it (eg Just Jack and Blur in 2009) so it would all fall apart. Also if I did implement something like that there is a large chance it would end up taking over!

I did it for Reading festival last year but forgot to for Glastonbury this year. It seems harder to do at Glasto somehow because theres just so much going on and you end up jumping between stages so much .

We usually print out A3 copies of Halvin's awesome clashfinder and some bring some markers, then spend time chilling in our tent with a guide on Wednesday or Tuesday night (we're almost always at a local campsite the night before). More often than not the clashfinder has completely disappeared under the mess that is our tent by Friday, so all planning goes officially out the window. Scoring seems like alot of work. How do you hold onto your Brothers and Oggie while you're scribbling away?!
