Good things about your day

I had a good feeling today. A few of us decided we'd had enough of being stranded in the snow and ice and attacked the road with shovels. Some more neighbours joined us and after about 7 hours hard labour by a dozen blokes, we'd cleared most of the street so it's now passable. Other neighbours were making us tea and passing out biscuits and it felt good to have a show of community spirit.

I got offered a new job today! Plus I still have the interview that made my day on Wednesday to come next week. Looking forward to dropping my resignation on my bosses desk next week!

Thought I'd resurect this topic to have some positives. Great day today - paid my neighbour for the caravan I'm acquiring for my festivals this summer - and then went out for lunch with Mrs GH, my daughter and her partner but bored them silly talking about caravans and festivals.

I had a good day too. I went on a glass fusion course today and made a piece of glass fused art. Hopefully this has kick started my desire to do more art projects. I've got a million ideas in my head but I never get around to doing them. The piece of work doesn't go in the kiln until tomorrow and I can pick it up later in the week. Can't wait to see it.

I and another forum contributor put forward Michael Eavis for carrying the olympic torch and ME was actually really up for it. Unfortunately they didn't choose him despite all the money he has given to charity over the years. It may have been that they didn't consider the nomination to be a serious nomination with credence to it. I think they missed a trick there though.
