agreed. I would not pay to see soundgarden headline. If they were maybe special guests or further down the main stage or even second stage i think would be more realistic

My ar$e soundgarden are one of the all time grunge greats definitely deserve a headline spot. But everyone is entitled to there own opinion I suppose

this is bullshit - copping denied soad on sunday, and got quite stroppy about it. His credibility dropped for me right there. just say nothing, dont deny - it makes you look a tit.

and as much as I like Soundgarden, they aren't headline material, and they were never anywhere near as big as Faith No More, if you think that lith, you obviously werent around when they were at their peak. FNM were hugely influential. Soundgarden were just another grunge band.

I reckon Zombie is nailed on, its far too random a name for the BBC to accidentally pull out of the hat to put on their website, unless it was a metalhead who works for the BBC messing about.

If Soundgarden played, they'd definitely headline

It'd probably be there only UK show since the reform which would push them up

Plus if CC can sub the 2nd stage like he did in 09 then with Soundgarden they're gonna be a fair bit higher

I doubt very very much if Rob Zombie will play, he will be busy directing "The Lords of Salem" in Summer next year.

I'm buzzing tonight because I have bagged us another big fish for Download...not a main stage headliner but pretty damn big all the same!

Actually, I haven't confirmed the third headliner yet...it's taking a little longer than I'd hoped but I think it's a corker

Also he posted when asked on Smashing Pumpkins, he said he wouldn't book them as headliner but would book them if they agreed to play elsewhere on the bill.
