thanks! we're going on the hovercraft from southsea,think we'll get beers before we set off and lug them all the way to camp! once camped up is it possible to leave and then go to a shop at all? or is it like at glastonbury where, once your in, thats it

Re Groove Armada, they don't play live any more, so Red Light is their new incarnation as a DJ duo. However, the intention seems to be for it to be a cut above your usual DJ set, so it'll prob be four decks with FX and vocalists, and playing some of their own tunes. They unveiled it recently at a fest (maybe Camp Best?) if you want to Google it to find out more...

A friend of mine who works in shipping has just rang me to say they cannot get 9000 boxes of bottled water to the bestival site because its been shut down by health and safety! :O

I think it must be because of the wind. Its meant to clear up tomorrow so everything should be ok. Hope they can get everything ready in time!

I'm currently sitting in the front room in my house in East Wittering, right on the beach. I can see the (just about) the Isle of White & just about where the festival site is from where I am sitting. The sea is f**king rough right now & spray from the waves is going over the house!

Let's hope the weather gets better! B)

HI,

What`s the score with taking your own booze in to the main arena`s? is it like glasto? i have read on the website you`re not allowed but there`s always a few levels of strictness regarding this sort of thing, ie: V fest,the slight whiff of booze and the fecks will stop you!

Well...

*sigh*

This is the mother of all bitches at the festival. It's going to be mayhem between the two tents come 12am. I think these are the options:

- 1. Be close to the front to see The Cure and stay for the whole set but stand absolutely no chance of seeing Primal Scream, or at very best be at the back of the Big Top.

- 2. See The Cure, hover around mid-crowd, make our way out around 10:30pm to 11pm and get a decent spot in the middle of the Big Top (depending on who's playing before Primal Scream) - this is what I'll probably do because - as much as I love The Cure, I can only listen to so much of Prayers for Rain before I abandon all hope. If they do a greatest hits set, pick a song and then leave; mine is 'A Night Like This' or 'Lovesong'. Follow it with 2 hours of some positive vibrations listening to 'Screamadelica'. B)

- 3. Don't see The Cure at all and hover around the Big Top for the whole evening and gradually make our way to the front to see Primal Scream.

- 4. See neither band and do something else, but let's face it, it's just not an option - is it?

- 5. Be an utterly ruthless w*nkshaft and barge your way through the crowd of people as if you're a 2011 year 11 leaver, sparing no consideration for anybody BUT seeing the two most eagerly anticipated bands of the festival.

Carefully consider your options, my young Padawan.

      Skylink is 24 hours... But the skylink will drop you off at Pegasus business Park or EMA (East Midlands Airport) where you'll have to use the Download shuttle link, which isn't 24 hours. The last shuttle from the Download transport hub to EMA is 12:15 TrentBarton / Local bus info here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/download2026   Skylink Derby / Leicester / Loughborough timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/services/skylinkderby  Shuttle timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/userfiles/hotel.pdf If you miss the shuttle, which is very doubtful, you'll just have to find another way to EMA / Pegasus business park, maybe a taxi. You could even walk to EMA from the Download transport hub, wouldn't take too long. Just make sure you use the airport's 'circular path' instead of the dangerous roads.  I walk the circular path often, it's nice and easy. I would post instructions but I very much doubt you'll miss the shuttle, and if you do, it isn't hard to work out. The footpath is clearly signposted from directly opposite / across the road from where the download map has labelled "Pickup and Drop Off Exit."

      So for Harry Styles it was actually a plastic bag that basically blocks the view of the front and back cameras. You can still use the phone screen. It's much easier than using lockers, especially for people leaving for the last train etc    I think it's basically reliant on the threat of security kicking you out if you start filming.

      I had a great time yesterday and came to the conclusion that everytime (or, more accurately, both times) I didn't have a great time at Primavera, it was water-related. Either there was too much of it (Thursday 2026) or there wasn't enough (Thursday 2022, week 1).
