Cee-Lo Green

Been listening to his album and I really think he would be perfect for a mid-afternoon slot on the Pyramid Stage. Aside from 'F*ck You' the rest of his album is really quite soulful and quite remeniscent of Gaye, Wonder and a lot of other Motown with a contemporary twist.

I've had a Spotify of his album and actually quite like it. I didn't expect to as most modern R'n'B (which isn't actually R'n'B in my book) does nothing for me. This is very soulful with a contemporary feel, so doesn't sound re-hashed. Pretty good.

I'm not a particuler fan of of either Cee Lo or the band Gnarls Barkley...

But the song Crazy, is near the top of my all time favorite list of songs, I would love to see him sing that at Glastonbury.

Check out this clip of him sining it at Roskilde in 2008, I love the way the crowd is into it.

Does that make me Crazy ?

Why is Cee Lo Green now down as just a Strong Rumour?

I was sure he'd been confirmed in either the initial announement that included Janelle Monae, Friendly Fires etc, or was confirmed another way?

He's one of the few I'd had down that I'm pretty much definately seeing regardless of the clashes and didn't go to see him in Manchester last weekend because of this

I see he's not on the Glastonbury list, but also seem to remember that a few were removed from the announcement in the few hours afterwards. Is that the case here?

Although it doesn't show on his website, plenty of links have him supporting Rihanna in Vancouver on Friday June 24, then again in L.A. June 28. He *could* do the journey to play Glastonbury but it doesn't seem certain

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
