With Glasto having a traditionally strong dance led line up , and the fact that we will not see the

following there next year

Faithless

Prodigy

Orbital

Groove Armada

PSB's

Then apart from The Chems and Daft Punk who else is left? , Underworld and Leftfield prob not big enough

, Massive Attack possibly ( who I saw back in 08 ) . Pendulum although you might as well book Scooter.

Have I forgotton anyone ?

Signed!

Daft Punk would be ultimate.

Across the board they must be the most consistantly respected act - let alone dance act. Other headliners have a massive hate/love following - most either take or leave DP and/or love them.

It would be the most original and coolest move to make DP full on headliners.

Hmm...that DP track that Paul linkied sounds an awful lot like Jean Michel Jarre has been let loose in the DP studio but its the end credits tune so has to be a film film epic I suppose. Derezzed is way better. Only a week or two to wait until the whole soundtrack is released yes??? I am really rather excited about that... :D

Outside Organisation said Daft Punk @ Wireless isn't true.

Even if they knew they were playing (which they probably don't have a clue about at the mo - that's the way things normally go) they'd still say they weren't playing prior to it being announced.

There's zero point asking any PR company to comment on any rumour, they'll either give it an outright denial regardless of whether what they say is the truth or not, or refuse to comment.

None of that is me saying they're lying - what they say might turn out to be the truth. But they can't be believed on any sensible basis, because they do put out false statements (and Outside more than most).

They said it on their twitter that DP was rumored to play, then later said the rumor was false.

Really hope it is true, though.

Ohhh, ta for that info - will dig a little deeper around that tomorrow, see what I can find out.

All the same, you can never trust the word of a PR - the very purpose of their job is telling porkies. After all, it takes no skill to put out the truth.

    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.

    • Liddle: "Drop a small nuclear bomb on Glastonbury to immediately remove from our country almost everybody who is hugely annoying.”   Farage: Free speech!    Polanski: accepts a collaboration on 20 innocuous looking set of photos on instagram but doesn't notice that one that says 'making plans for Nigel' with a guillotine image.   Farage: I expect the MET police to arrest him.
    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
