To have enough time to organise it, get numbers, time to give everyone their person, time for folk to buy presents, time for folk to send presents, it has to be started early.

If there's 20 folk in, randomly split them in half. As soon as my name/your name is drawn, the other one is automatically in the other group. You get the group with my name, I get the group with yours, then it's drawn against who gets who.

You get your ten. You draw one and then draw the next. Draw A buys for Draw B, etc etc etc. Then when you have 5 people buying for 5, you split up who's got a person buying for them and who's already got a person to buy for. You then draw out a person who's got a person buying for them, with someone who's already got someone to buy for. It means it's more random (ie. someone isn't just buying for the person who's got them a gift)
