Unlucky people getting abusive

Guest traveller

Recommended Posts

As time went on this morning, the posts on Glastnbury's Facebook page seemed to get more and more abusive, with some totally unecessary language and offensive comments.

When it was announced tickets were sold out, I was surprised to see that there were some terrible insults and threats posted about seetickets and even directed towards Michael Eavis personally. Plus the number of people who wished ill luck on those who got tickets - some of whom were joking and others obviously weren't.

Don't get me wrong, I would be gutted if I didn't get a ticket, and luckily for me someone else managed to get mine. However, I think it is realised by most people that although the website struggled with demand, it is ultimately a game of luck and patience.

Personally, judging from a large proportion of comments on Glastonbury's FB, I feel relieved that those posting abusive messages didn't get through as that to me, is not what Glastonbury is about.

And I definitely wouldn't like to spend five days having such lovely folk camped next to me!

Anyone else seen these kind of comments and found themselves surprised/ disgusted/ thankful?

Its a shame that people did not get tickets...I would be gutted if I had tried and didnt get any. Luckily I work, so dont have to worry about that anymore but have been there many times.

Its not right people getting abusive though...there are only so many tickets and there has to be a system to handing all the tickets out, and this was works although it is frustrating, it is fair for everyone!

99% of the people in this thread would become abusive and angry if they couldn't get a ticket but obviously they wouldn't admit openly admit it.

I could honestly see myself kicking the dog or giving the wife a black eye if I didn't get one but luckily for her I did.
