Strange when I click that link it takes me straight to the booking page. Surely it can't just be me, I already have my tickets so it's no good to me, might help someone else, currently using Firefox.

Been to the last 13 or 14 Glasto's but no luck for the first time this year. I've never has so many browser and tabs open but didn't even get a sniff. I can be philosophical about it but although I'm not technical enough to fully understand, it does seem strange to me that all of these attempts (hundreds and hundreds from my pc) can constantly 'time out' but then as soon as the sold out page is available all attempts get straight through to it. Can anyone explain??

It's not the not getting a ticket that's really annoying me, although clearly I would have preferred to get one. It's the wasting 4 hours of my Sunday (4 massively frustrating hours!). Right now, I'm thinking I will never go to Glastonbury again while they use Seetickets as their ticketing agent.

It's probably the wrong attitude but I really really feel for Mr Zigster and all the other regular efests posters who've missed out. Looking at my facebook page as an example there are so many people who've got tickets and who I know don't really like music or Glastonbury that much and go for the fashionable name-check and as an alternative to a greek island or something.

I know it takes all sorts but it still upsets me a bit.

Just as a note to people, I remember three separate occasions last year in the coming weeks when tickets randomly went back on sale. If you're quick and alert and religiously check efests you will almost certainly get tickets in the next few weeks if the same process is repeated and cut out months of anxiety prior to the resale. Good luck.

Sorry to say this but as it's a personal best I got my tickets in 40mins and even manage to get back in on 2 separate occasions to get tickets for friends.

I am sorry for all those that didn't get a ticket, I have been through it with no success many times and will have to try in the resales for friends anyway!

Apologies to the klumpster if I seam smug, I'm not, I've suffered enough over the years and if I hadn't got a ticket would be a complete bitch now. I have ruined many a family meal and day over this festival!

well, for the first time in 4 years, i havent been able to get a ticket on the first sales day. :(

i tried every trick in the book on 2 pc's and a phone since half 8, all to no avail.

ultimately i think living out in the sticks with a very slow BT connection put paid to my hopes.

at about 12:50 i finlly managed to get onto the registration and postcode page and then the billing page, only for the connection to fail after confirming my address, must have tried it hundreds of times on different tabs and browsers but with no results.

what hacks me off even more is knowing that a few of those tickets sold will go to people who will sit around the pyramid all day not paying attention until Dizzee Rascall bounces on stage, and then complain that the food is too pricey after only going to the same crap burger and chips van all weekend, and maybe shout "bollocks" once or twice.

sorry to sound a bitter, everyone should be entitled to go to glasto, but to say i'm absolutely devastated and distraught would be understatement of the century.

the possibility of Elbow getting a headline slot on the Other or even the pyramid stage will multiply my misery ten fold if it happens, after waiting for that moment for 10 years, to miss it would be horrendous.

going to be a painful wait until the next resale, might move to japan especially for that date...make use of their 1000mb/sec or whatever broadband they've got over there. or failing that, work :(

I'm gutted, overslept so only started trying at 10, my mates had been trying since 9 though and still no luck. I didn't even get put in a queue once!

I will always despise Seetickets after how they cocked up Leeds tickets last year, I don't see how after that they would even consider to use them for Glastonbury.

Well done all who managed to get tickets and good luck in the resale everyone else!

Maybe if every single person trying to get tickets didn't have multiple computers/browsers/tabs the the whole experience would be better for everyone? Instead of each person only opening one connection to the See Tickets servers, everyone had many more connections going on at once.

The best and fairest way to deal with the issue for me is for an application to be developed whereby only a single secure connection can be made to the ticket site per household(IP address). Strain would be less at the other end and it would be fairer for all involved.

A VPN connection (to Work or University network) only means that your page request will be routed via a different router - which will find a route to the IP address of the Seetickets server. If you are using a home connection then you are likely to be using BT routers (depends on your ISP) - if you VPN to something else then you will be using different routers. Routers are computers - they are not random! It would be interesting to know whether connections via say JANET (academic network used by Universities) or some other ISP had a shoter route or higher priority (algorithm in the router config) that say BT....

Might sound stupid to the people who have tickets but i feel hurt right now. I've been to glasto for the last 5 festivals and thinking that i might have to wait two years now for my next is depressing. I'm praying for a resale sooner rather than later so that i can rest easy in knowing i have tickets

I'm so happy that I managed to get a ticket! It took about an hour and a half to get it - same as last year. It will be my 2nd time at Glasto and I'm hoping for another heatwave! An amazing time plus the bonus of a golden time. What more could you want?!

:)

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
