could the "irony" comment refer to the fact that Bob was next in line for the "bat and bleed" treatment before they escaped terminus - or is that too simplistic? or was bob next? could have been glen? I forget now.

Bob was next and that was also a thought I had but it did seem a bit more complex than that they way I viewed it so I kind of dismissed that thought and feel its something to do ith Bob that we dont know yet

Gareth said, "you put us in a situation" - we have no idea what that situation was.

I think Bob made the tree marking because he was crying with one right in front of him, as though he'd made it and was upset about it.

the more I think about it the more I think surely bob couldn't have fore guessed they were going to eat him, so he couldn't have put himself out there to get captured deliberately.

Bob did exactly the same as Dale does in the comics.

Leaves the church to go for a piss and walks off away from them to die because he has been bitten. They've even chucked in a realtionship between Sasha and Bob quickly to mirror Andrea and Dale.
This is why Bob was crying because thats the last time hes ever going to see Sasha, he is walking off to die.

I wonder if he will do the iconic tainted meat, and then they throw his body at the church door to try and spook the rest of the group like in the comics? Then its bad ass mother fucking Rick time!

Nobody seems to be mentioning Beth and the car with the cross on it. By the way, two really strong episodes so far, hope it stays this good, season 5 could be the best yet.

I wonder if they'll leave that out, leaving us to know he was bit and the tv series watchers oblivious. I think they'll still do bad ass Rick, and conclude it. It could also be that Bob is leading Morgan back, they don't have to copy the comics exactly, I've learnt not to assume it'll play out the same way.

Someone is leaving those marks why would Gareth leave them for Morgan?

Actually hang it all I've changed my mind the amount of explanation Gareth gives Bob about their motivations means Bob isn't privy to them so he can't be from Terminus. I think the 'situation' is the fact they nuked Terminus, and when he says it's cosmic judgement - he just means they have a chance to get even. The writers would have to waste time with an explanation back story via flashback and that's unnecessary.

Could Gabriel be doing the markings?

Well I'm up to date watching it and thought I got what was going on until I caught up on this thread. I seem to have forgotten a large chunk of Storyline. Oh well.

yes stick with it, 3 was up and down as was 2 but 4 was good and 5 has started with a bang. What did you make of the first season?

Loved the first season, gradually peaking, then second was a bit bore but there was enough characters to get to know (almost like a soap except that kid), I am really struggling through 3. I thought even the hallucinations were OTT & just want Rick to get back on form. Obvious Shane, the impaled boy & the missus were to die for me unfortunately.

Its, I think, too predictable, like when Hollyoaks randomly turns someone into a rapist/murderer within two weeks.

yeah i think they mucked the whole woodbury story up. I certainly felt like the first half of season 4 should have been the last half of 3. Edited October 21, 2014 by III

They had to go a different route with Woodbury because the original source material they just couldn't put on AMC. It was too much.

And in trying to change it and do something different, they didn't succeed.

I still however thought it was a better season that 4.

4 was really poor IMO, some episodes were just complete trainwrecks.

Season 5, looks to finally get back on track.

Kirkman said they won't be doing this on the TV show as it would just be too much CGI for a main character like Rick and also limit him on screen as to what he can do.

He says they cheat sometimes in the comic and some images you see theres no way he could do it with one hand missing.

He has gone on record and said the thing he probably regrets the most is cutting Ricks hand off in the comic so i'd say theres absolutely zero percent of this happening. For it to happen to someone else as well IMO wouldn't have as much of an impact as we've already had Merle without a hand, Hershall without a leg, a secondary character, its just not worth it.

How so? I am interested as I have not read the comics and as they are not using material from them it would be interesting to know what they are dropping
