My advice is take it easy, avoid the rush and crush at 9am and wait for the madness to die down. There is no point getting all frustrated waiting in a queue and having to hit the refresh button just to see your PC lock up. Just go out for a morning walk and then off to the pub for lazy Sunday lunch and buy your tickets late afternoon when all the panic is over. They'll still be loads of tickets left, I'm sure.

Nothing other than common sense - get up early and be first in line when the Seetickets page goes live. Oh, and make sure you've registered / existing registrations are still valid.

How would I go about ensuring my registration is still valid? I sent an e-mail to the glasto office but have yet to hear anything. Also the e-mail address I registered with has messed up and wont allow me to recieve any e-mails, so wouldnt know if I recieved any corrospondence about this issue from the festival...

Looking at some of the comments on this threard, i don't know if some of you realsie just how negatively you have come accross in your comments. How awful you'll all feel being surrounded by the dreaded U2 fan!

Why don't you try to get a ticket, wiat to see how is confirmed to play & if U2 headline a night, perhaps consider an alternative to the Pyramid area. I expect that should be too difficult.

Hopefully these "U2" fans won't cause the sky to fall in on you, but for the music snobs, i hope it comes crashing in on you.

to be fair i can understand why there isn't much love for U2 fans, when they pulled out last year quite a few people were on here moaning because they only brought a ticket to see u2 and there were looking to sell there ticket.

most people here would like to go to glastonbury to experience a festival, and not just to see one band

I used to work with this guy who was a massive U2 fan, it was during the time when they had that last rubbish album and they must have bribed the BBC to promote it on every channel all the time.

Whenever a U2 track came on the radio he would turn it up and let everyone know they where the greatest band in the history of the planet.

Suffice to say this guy was a massive tool and really annoying, I have therefore decided to base my opinion of U2 fans on him so would rather they were kept to a minimum next year if possible.

I can imagine a lot of people with T shirts with pictures of bono when he used to dress as that devil thing......

(i would also like to add he looked a bit like bungle from rainbow and wore a beige suit if you can picture that)

I've read the thread again and I'd be amazed if someone was smart enough to turn on their computer and navigate to this page but not be smart enough to pick out the serious posts from the less-serious ones. For the record, I like U2. Am I offended by 'snobby' comments? No, not even close.

1.) All I was saying was I wouldn't want to be at a festival surrounded by U2 fans, as has been mentioned before alot of U2 fans can get quite barmy about the band to the point of mentalness. A festival full of fans of any specific band would be shit. I just used U2 as an example as that's who we're talking about.
