Maybe Leonard Cohen, if he could be persuaded back and still needs money. He was magnificent a couple of years ago.

If we could have legendary bands as opposed to solo artists I'd still love to see Fleetwood Mac, if they could be persuaded to do it for love and not for silly money.

well, remember now ... we seem to have 2 sunday legend slots these days, A- the 'hard rock legend' early slot ( i.e. Status Quo, Slash) and then B- the usual oldie legend

so for Sunday legends 2011..

A i'll take Def Leppard at 2pm ... (or the latest installment of Deep Purple)

B and then Ringo Starr's Band 3rd from the top on Sunday, after Wilco and before REM, a great foursome to close out the Pyramid which of course finishes up with Radiohead .... otherwise Bob Dylan (whom Eavis says he's trying to get back) would be great.

Someone mentioned Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers which would be great, but is he really considered a 'legend' in the UK/BBC audience? don't think so, unfortunately. But a saturday Jackson Browne'ish slot would be nice.
