Munich chants are disgusting and I'd never join in with one. But tough to really take United's complaints too seriously when Heysel chants are sung every game (and even by players in Moscow...). Hillsborough chants even got an airing- unprovoked- at a youth game the other day. All of them are wrong.

Time for all sides to come out and do a joint condemnation of the chants.

Thinking on my way to work, I cant believe how much of an easy ride harry redknapp gets from his friends in the london media. I have heard managers of every top 7 club getting stick this year apart from him. I personally think he is very overrated and a lucky manager. As a welsh fan I hope he is given the england job as I think he will completely mess it up. If as it looks spurs miss out on the champions league it will not be because of other clubs huge spending powers but because spurs forwards dont score goals and they have completely flopped against all the sides at the bottom. Both these are clearly down to the man at the top.

Seems daft from the outside, when you're closer to what goes on and have put up with it for years, its easy to see why they may think that way.

If they can identify a good successor then maybe you can do it... but the problem is like with us and Benitez the grass isn't always greener. A manager can become a bit stale but his alternative (e.g. Hodgson) could be a disaster. Do the changing of guard wrong and they could end up with a player exodus and a be set back several years.

Hmmmm .... there's more to transfer policy than just buying players - such as "can the club afford it?" and "will those buys make a better team?".

While the club might have been able to afford it, it would have been at the expense of their debts - which are now in the 'manageable' range, but they weren't for a number of those 6 years that he's failed to win anything.

As for making them a better team, that's always questionable too - there's heaps of clubs which have bought big and failed to improve by doing so. And when, like Wenger, you have a club who is grooming kids (no, not like that ), the effect of buy-ins is likely to have a detrimental effect on them. There's the risk of causing a terminal downwards spiral.

Finally, I think Wenger had a point in the interview he did after the game on Sunday - was it his methods that had them leak that late goal, or was it simply a player's error? An argument can be made for both, but it's hard to pin an individual error on a manager's whole method of operation.

Having said all of that, Arsenal have needed a better defence for years, and while it's clearly still short, it's better than it was and only marginally short of what it needs to be. Improvements are needed, but not much of one.

To most of us maybe. However the fans who call for a managers head it isn't always obvious. Some thick supporters will think a change of manager is a good thing without things through fully. If Wenger goes Fabregas is sure to follow him out the door. Maybe Nasri too. Then the next manager has a big job on his hands.

One day they might get to wake up to the fact that a manager's possible success is limited by the quality of the players a club has, and that the alternatives to that manager is a manager who is no better than the one they already have.

players on the post is a nonsense tactic for me. why not have that player on the post actually marking someone. and leave the shot stopping to the goalie.

never the less, nasri left looking silly on the post for both goals. perhaps not the best player to have for that role.

I’m a big “player on the post” fan. Seen lots and lots of goals saved that way. You can do it and still have an extra man free.

Players on the post is one of those things which if you do you waste a player, and if you don't you wish you'd risked wasting a player.

While a player on the post hasn't worked for the instances you're thinking of, there's a huge number of examples where it has done.

The rational counter to this, rather than the tabliod bullshit that you like to post, is that they've been dessimated by injury.

As have other teams. But you don't hear Wenger or even the stupid anti-Wenger Arsenal 'fans' saying that their injuries have cost them the league.

It takes a squad to play the season. Poor squad, poor position. The league doesn't lie.

I haven't come across a more injury prone team in my life, and that's not intended as hyperbole. I mean it quite literally.
