i wouldn't hold your breath.

no doubt this is the point where our bet turns into a worm and neil where either cbc says that he didn't get a full season or his forest goals still count. bets over as far as i'm concerned, but i still don't see him bagging more 4 for forest.

while he's done far worse than I'd expected him to (based on his rep - I don't really know him as a player), I'm guessing the move on 'boro's side is about getting his wages off their books, and from Forest's side they're hoping he's going to get them the goals to ensure promotion.

Whether he manages to do that is another thing. But his score rate in Scotland should have him banging in a few.

We don't need to completely readapt to fit him in. As you say, his game is poaching. That's Rob Earnshaw's game as well. That said I don't think we need another Earnshaw, we need someone who's quicker (like Nathan Tyson) but not useless (like Nathan Tyson).

Aside from specifically the left back position, up front is where we are weak. I'd like to think Boyd is the answer to that but I just don't see it. It's just the Scotland connection and hope/desperation that's bought him to Nottingham.

where's the hope and desperation? you're 5th!

i just don't see the logic in this move. nottingham forest need goals so they take on a guy who is not getting a game for relegation fodder who arguably need the goals more. very strange one.

and arsenal are 15/2 tonight :O no wonder they're the most popular bet on paddy power!

Starting to get annoyed with all this media/pundit talk about referee decisions, I feel they use it to cover for the fact they cant dicuss tactics. I dont agree with people saying man u or arsenal can blame decisions if they narrowly miss out on the title. Both have decisions going both for and against them. Both have messed up at various times this season, so could look closer to home if they fall just short. A lot of people saying that arsenal must beat man utd at home, while this would obviously be a great help, im not sure its essential. Assuming they win their game in hand (not a clue who its against) i dont think its imposssible they could draw against man utd and then manage 1 point more in the remaining games. I would stil make man utd narrow favourites due to their experience of wnining leagues but arsenal willnever get a better chance.

As I said yesterday, excuses don't win silverwear. IMO we need to 8 of the 10 remaining games (including the game against united) and we'd win it. Whether we can do that though i'm not so sure. We'd need to have no more injuries between now and the end of the season and with RVP I just can't see that happening.

I'm bricking it about tonights game, can't wait though.

no offence but i'll just refer to you in a derogatory, offensive manner? :P

but yeah, comparing striking rates in scotland to how they would do in england is just silly. first name that popped into my head is steven fletcher. boyd was better than him in scotland but there's no contest who's been the bigger hit in england.

    • Not my experience. I've always got the size I paid for.
    • Kind of crackers how fast this summer seems to be sailing by. But aye, must be some news soon!
    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.
