I agree that its up to people who they support, however I would say its am easy option supporting a top premiership side. I support a non league team, fact is the bulk (not all) of the people who claim to be fans of the likes of man u, liverpool, arsenal etc would jump ship pretty quickly with just a few years outside the premiership, never mind the non league. I think with fans at out level, you know the majority will stay loyal to the cause however the club is doing. I also feel that there is more of a community feel to small town, lower league clubs. Its something I enjoy and something a fan of your big sides probably wont feel. My greatest ever game as a fan was watching wrexham beat the champions arsenal in the early 90s, in the time when the top sides played their first teams! I love the feeling of going into a game thinking you have no chance and then pulling it off.

I like the fact that the players I see are playing to pay their moragages and are generally not mercenaries. I like that players will chat to you in a pub, rather than looking for a vip section so they dont have to associate with commoners. Some people would rather support their team through sky tv and thats up to them. However as a lower league fan, I feel we are more important to our teams as there isnt a constant stream of people looking to take our place.

Football teams became brands in the 90s owing to Sky's remarketing of football as a trendy and hip thing to be in to. People choose their team like they choose pop.

Ah f**k this, can't have a proper debate on this anymore because if I put a post with points you just highlight odd words to suit you.

Don't take it personally. He does this with everyone; he could walk down the street and start an argument with a turd on the pavement. ;)

He believes himself the best read and most intelligent person on these forums.

Take from that whatever you will.

News just broke that Rooney won't be punished for that elbow!

Not that the FA favour the English players/big teams at all...

To be fair, that was always the likely outcome.

The ref gave a foul at the time, which means he must have (or pretended to have) seen it.

A revision of the punishment for that (nothing!) for Rooney would have required the ref to own up to NOT having seen it and him awarding a free kick for no reason - which was never going to happen.

And while IMO it defo looks like Rooney deliberately went for him, it's one of those things where no one but Rooney knows the truth of it. It might be the case that it was simply the consequence of Rooney trying to take avoiding action of the player stepping across his path.

yes, cos to the world's self-claimed best read person with his fantasy dictionary, there is only ever one possible use and meaning to the word "recognition", just as there is for the words "subjective" and "universal".:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Falsification dearest. It's only because there are people that don't choose teams like pop that I can say that there are those that do.

Bored of your semantic rubbish though.

And it's only because you made an absolutist statement that I can point out you were wrong.

Oh dear how sad never mind. Get over it.

    • You can judge who you want to get a high slot next with the Lolla headliner performances from the weekend. Cause people think Tate Mcrae is the best thing out there for some reason. And some other cool acts, plus you can laugh at how bad the camera work is cause disney is cheap.
    • Fontaines getting the honour of the last ever BBC Maida Vale session going out on 6 Music shortly.   No Glastonbury relevance (for now.. ), just thought I'd mention it for those who are interested 😎
    • Had a wonderful booking in one of our primary woodland venues this weekend. A 30th birthday arranged by a load of musicians and entertainment industry professionals. It was primarily a folk oriented event, however I noticed one young woman who didn’t seem to fit dress and appearance wise. Turned out to be Frenetic, one of the top up and coming UK Jungle and DnB DJ’s.    Anyway Saturday night turned into an EDM session and I got to do a set. Slightly nervous considering who was there, it was great and Frenetic loved my set. She’s closing Data Mine at Shambala this year.
    • they got lucky and the thunderstorms stayed away. It was still wet of course. Some of those boot sucking puddles did emerge from what a couple friends saw who were there.  Post fest aerial also below   and also a sapphic mud wrestling contest?
