I considered before that match kicked off what would class as an emphatic result for Liverpool in that match, and settled on 0-3 - which is what they got.

And it's worth noting that Kenny had had a full week to work with the players before this match, rather than none for the game against Utd, and 2 days max for each of the games against Blackpool and Everton.

Whether or not they've really turned a corner is yet to be seen of course, but Fulham in mid-week should be a decent test as Fulham have perked up lately. Tho the thing that could stuff things at Kenny's end is finding a place to slot Gerrard back into the team - but of any player, I'd guess that's the one he has the most certain ideas on how to use.

yeah, it was clearly a different way of trying to do things, but whether or not that's something that will bring them greater success overall remains to be seen.

What it does get to show tho is that Kenny & his team has now clearly had an influence on what the team are trying to do - which isn't something that could be said with the previous 3 matches (but given the limited training time between those previous 3 matches, that's not really too much of a surprise).

yeah i obviously expected him to win games and this is definitely one that should have been won. just it was the third time that he took a 1-0 lead and i think serious questions could have been asked had he let it slip a third time.

yep, it's a game they should have won - but giving Wolves their biggest home loss of the season so far (they've lost one other game by 3 goals this season, away at Blackburn) is certainly a very decent result.

Meireles *IS* a decent player, and while he always looked to be that under Woy, he looked better at the weekend. The problem for Kenny is what to do with him when Gerrard is back in the team in mid-week.

If gray and keys had done it on the bbc they would have been sacked. I cant stand gray, the way he is blind to all the premiership flaws is annoying. Agree womans football is awful, I found the keepers particularly bad. I wonder how low down the league system the england womans team would be competitive. Oh c'mon, it's not that hard to work out. In the eyes of a West Ham fan, the world's only perfect commentator is an ex-West Ham player.
