Indeed, although the last few weeks hes been better, thankfully. And while we’re talking about your theory of a cheating diving mentality at OT, which I presume you think is championed by Fergie, I hear Fergie bollocked Nani out of it severely for his God awful dive against Liverpool in the league this season, the one when Agger didn’t touch him. And rightly so.

did he also give Valencia a bollocking for his dive against Liverpool (last season I think?), or did he applaud that as a way to win the game in the exact same way that you and every other Utd fan did here?:lol:

As I said: Utd have no shame in diving.

In my opinion the big teams are as bad as each other. You get players like Giggs who play honestly but I think more down to his personal character than the culture at man u. Another observation from yesterday, cant believe how a lot of the media were trying to cover for Gerrard. Wonder how they would have reacted if barton or diouf made am identical tackle.

Maybe he did bollock Valencia, dunno about that.

Wheres this applause you speak of?

I'm sure you'll be able to find the words that you, ralph, and other Utd fans here posted to applaud that dive in last year's thread.

Face facts Neil, if Utd won 5 nil yesterday and totally deserved it, you'd say it was Liverpool we're shit and it had nothing to do with Utd.

It's funny how the words I posted today - which you even posted in reply to - which says something entirely different to your fantasies here get to show just how deluded you really are.

You are of the (unique) opinion after all, that most managers could’ve achieved what Fergie has achieved at Old Trafford given his resources. Which is pretty silly.

If I'm so so so wrong with that then you really ought to start to worry - after all, it'll mean that Liverpool win the league and not Utd now that Kenny is back in charge.:lol:

Or alternatively - and as the facts have got to prove (with Liverpool back then; with Blackburn; with Chelski) - that being the best resourced club more often than not has that club picking up the trophies.

I wonder which of us is right?:lol::lol:

a two footer and a red card.

As I've already said, I've no issue at all with that card for Gerrard. And normally I'd say that any off-the-ground challenge like that should get a red.

But there was one this weekend where I feel sorry for the player (I forget who it was now and for what team ... but do remember that the player's name began with a 'T' and they were playing in blue), and think it shouldn't have been a red. The player went over the ball with his foot and hooked it back towards himself, and the opponent who he was deemed to have been dangerous to was a fair way (not a huge distance, but a safe distance) away from the ball. That one shouldn't have been a red.

But it was one of those challenges that looked far worse from one angle than it did another, so perhaps from where the ref was stood it looked like it should have been red.

The real issue here, as with Berbs peno incident, is the linesmen dont have the balls to put up a flag and tell the ref he was wrong.

If the player wasn't cheating in the first place then it ceases to be a question. ;)

And anyway, the more that any player tries to con a ref or linesman the simple fact is the more times that cheat will get away with it, because any human will always call a proportion wrong.

But with the berba incident yesterday the linesman probably didn't have much of a view of it - the ref should have had the best view of the two, because berba's leg will have been shielding the linesman's view to some extent (particularly if the linesman had been square to the play [i'm not sure if he was or wasn't]). While the ref's view wasn't perfect either, I'd say he should have had the better view of it.

Thats concerning the foul on Valencia that was actually a foul right? When he had a hold of his arm? If it was in or outside the box that was the issue.

So wheres this proof of me saying its ok to dive? Or wheres this applause? Is that the best you could find? Dear oh dear.

it still was a dive.

And your comment was that the dive didn't matter, because Liverpool didn't do enough to otherwise win the game.

As you believe the dive didn't matter, you are clearly saying that that diving doesn't matter. As I said: no shame.

Wheres all the sympathy for poor Leeds by the way?

1. it wasn't a clear dive. We only know it is cos Walcott has admitted to it.

2. it wasn't something that effected the result in any way.

So while I find that cheating no less abhorent, there's no reason for any sympathy to go Leeds' way for it.

And I'll point out that I've given Liverpool no sympathy for berba's diving (despite it effecting the result), I've simply said it was wrong of berba to cheat.

ahh, the 'wasn't 100%' rule for arsenal by neil. there was still contact for berbatov. much like eduardo. one gets the benefit, the other doesn't.

the guys admitted he dived. just accept it, don't give twofold reasons why it's less worse than a man utd one.

To add to my observation of the english media trying to make Beckham "the best" of everything. From watching sunday supplement, I have now learned he has the best right foot in the world and is the best in the world at sitting in front of a back four and spraying passes. Im starting to wonder if there are any attributes of the game he is good at without being the worlds best. As for crawley, I am not happy with their win. Horrible club and you only have to look at the managers history to know his character.

Eh? ... you don't half like revising history.:lol:

I always stated that Eduardo very probably dived. But I also stated - back against your continual claims that it was possible to see for certain that there'd been no contact - that you were talking tosh. There is no view of that incident which shows zero contact, as was proven by the fact that UEFA reversed the ban they'd initially imposed.

But why bother with saying the truth when it's so much more fun for you to deliberately lie.

deliberately lie? have you 100% called berbatovs a dive when there was contact? yes

correct.

have you 100% called eduardo's a dive when there was a hint of contact from one angle? no.

you seem to have a problem reading.

have you tried to lessen walcott's dive by giving 2 fold reasons why it was not as bad as berbatovs? yes

Wrong. I've condemned his diving.

But I've also stated the undeniable fact that his diving didn't change the result. Care to tell me where that's wrong?

Had Walcott's dive actually looked like a clear dive, I'd have no doubt condemned it from the off. But it didn't look much like a dive from the TV pictures, and we only know it's a dive because he's said it was.

There's only one aspect about Walcott's dive that makes it 'better' than berba's - and that's his honesty about it.

all 3 dived. yet you slate 1 for diving, you lessen the severity of anothers and you say 'it probably was' for another. can you guess which one is related to man utd?

All three dived - completely equal there.

One I've called you a moron over, because you've been a moron about it, seeing things which can't be seen. Nothing about the actual dive there.

Another I didn't see as a dive at the time (and not many did!). I've since condemned it no less than I have berba's.

It must be great living in your fantasy world.

no less than berbatovs? yet you still give excuses. a dive is a dive is a dive. why try to say, well it didn't change the outcome of the game. that's irelevant. walcott dived to try and change the outcome. bottom line. he's no better than berbatov. but seen as it's cuddly theo, you try to make it seem less severe.

your blinkers are the biggest on this site. at least admit it. nothing wrong with blinkers, it's the denial that's the problem.
