He won't ever get close to the sort of passion that someone like Rooney shows, but I don't really see that as a handicap when you have the skills - Michael Owen isn't really much different, for example.

The point is that his improvement as time goes on is clearly visible. While I can, to some extent, understand the frustration with him by Arsenal fans, I feel they've not been fair to him. He was a very late starter in football, and that late start means he'll be later than others in reaching his potential - the problem at Arsenal is that they've got an expectation of any 18 year old that takes the field for them to be a near-finished product (such as Wilshere, Ramsay, Cesc, etc), while that was never going to be Theo.

I know where you're coming from but don't fully agree. We're generally a pretty good set of fans in making allowances for young players. WHat frustrated most of us is that he wasn't using the skills he already had that well (pace and finishing). He now seems to be channeling both a lot better.

I won't disagree with you about Wilshere - that's a very good point.

Let me put it another way: Walcott will be England's most highly thought of 'glamour' player, in the way that strikers/front players hold a higher regard in the wider public than other positions do.

Re: your frustrations, take a look at what I've just said in the previous post I made to this one.

Still not overly convinced with Walcott, he's in no way a winger imo (guy cant cross to save his life)

you're defo wrong with that.

He's a far better crosser than Lennon, SWP, or A.Johnson - Walcott's competition for playing on the right for England.

(I accept that those others [except SWP] have other skills which Walcott doesn't yet match).

Think it's a bit early to be getting over excited about McEachran, certainly got talent though. Another of our youngsters i'm excited out is Jay Emmanuel-Thomas. Scoring for fun for the reserves and built like an absolute beast - I hope he gets to play in a few firsat team games now.

Without a doubt. I mean look at the top 3:

Mainz

Borussia Dortmund

Hannover

Bayern are 11th.

Its by far the most unpredictable of the top European leagues. This adds to the excitement of the football, knowing any of the 18 teams can beat anybody. I mean you get the occasional result in Premier League/La Liga/Serie A, but nowhere near as frequent.

Then on top of this, the fact that they have the cheapest tickets out of the major leages, which makes it the most attended and well run league. As far as i am aware they have no clubs riddled with stupid amouts of debt do they? Also, they allow fans to drink alcohol inside the stadium whilst watching the game. And you dont hear of much trouble with gangs etc.

It seems to be all about the fans enjoying the football in the Bundesliga. The Premier League is dreadful in comparison atm. The FA really need to take some notes.

    • I'd be absolutely amazed if they went without a female headliner.

    • Kinda sounds like we’re heading towards Fender, Fontaines & Harry however I can’t see them not getting a female headliner so think it’ll be Fender or Fontaines and another. They’ll obviously try for Madonna but they’ve also tried before, really depends on whether she’s bothered about it.
    • and we are all set up for 222 and 122😉😊
